DS-1-1/2 Die Stock for 1-1/2" diameter round dies

Holds my Barrel threading die, so that I can rethread the barrel after cutting it down. Beats paying through the nose to have a gunsmith do it for you and as long as you use a threading alignment tool, you can't go wrong. Have fired the gun which is a Mosin Nagant and it's dead on. Wanted to add a mussel break to cut down on flash and kick, and it did the job.

This Die Stock has a cast body with threaded removable steel handles. While this may not last in a production environment I expect many years of use from this item, the form, fit, and finish is very good and it is an excellent value for the money. I have used this several times now with no problems on cutting threads on steel stock.

This works fine for an occasional use and is a good deal.Nothing wrong with it for the price. If you need a better die stock, you need to spend more money.If you will be threading stuff a handful of times a month or more, spend about twice as much on a better item. I only need it a couple of times a year and it is fine.

This arrived quickly through the mail. I liked the looks of it from the start and the Die Stock did not disappoint. The die fits tightly and the three screws are needed I think. This is a quality tool: steel screws and steel arms. I believe the center section is cast iron, but it didn't matter-it worked great with no problems at all.!!!

It works well, and does what it is supposed to do. I used it to thread the end of my rifle barrel to accept a flash suppressor. One bit of advice is to ensure it is perfectly perpendicular to whatever you are threading. My first attempt was lopsided. I trimmed that section off and tried it again with much better results.

Did just what it was supposed to .bought it with a 14mmx1.0 hs 1-1/2 od left hand die used it to thread my ak barrel dont believe all the #$%@ you here about needing a lathe !!! just make sure you get the die starter with the die and handle and your good to go!!!!!!!!!

Holds your die secure enough to get the job done properly!

Mine came with all 3 hold downs like in the picture and was very well built.
