Nice item. I don't use it for heat, so cannot comment on that aspect of the product. I keep this in my freezer for periodic use. The pack when frozen is firm but pliable. It stays cool for quite a long time after being removed from the freezer. I highly recommend this product.

Good for aches and pains
These are great. they are the perfect size for knees and elbows and even shoulders if you can get them in the right place. They hold their cold really well and we even use them sometimes to keep a small portable cooler cold at football games. I think we have 5 of these now and they get used frequently. They can be a bit cold on bare skin so putting them in a pillowcase or covering them with a paper towel works best for kids.

Easy to use and durable. Will buy again but likely the bigger size.
