Ge WD21X23461 Dishwasher User Interface Assembly Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

The most difficult thing was removing the door of the dishwasher. The old user interface wasn't responsive so I took a stab in the dark and ordered this one for my GE, model GDT655SSJOSS. Dishwasher working great.

Pretty easy fix for my GE Profile washer, just set the pins in the right config for your model # and install. YouTube has great videos to help!

Dishwasher stopped working, replaced the main board first and it still didn’t work. If you have power and a red light on main board but don’t have any power to the buttons replace this. Got my dishwasher back up and running. Bunch of YouTube videos on how to swap it out. Took about 30min

I was a little bit concerned going with the original model since it failed less than five years of use and I had also replaced the main control board four months before that. So, we'll see about quality. It was superceded by two models after that, but have no idea if it was a reliability upgrade.Everyone dishwasher model is going to have minor differences with disassembly. I found the majority on YouTube, but still biffed and broke off the face plate when separating the doors. My model needed me to unscrew the plastic vent cover and didn't realize. Word of caution, even if you do that, it's necessary for proper spacing when you screw it back together.So, dishwasher works and happy to have saved a little money on cost and shipping using what was on Amazon. Also felt better buying it through the GE store, but perplexed why they have this model available here and no longer on the GE appliances official website. So, four stars because GE hasn't been the greatest for reliability or ease with sourcing replacement parts.
