A brilliant, bold book for both the seeker and the liberated.
I do not see how this book could garner anything less than a 5 star rating. I found it to be completely original, especially Part Three. It gives options to the seeker by explaining the types of realizations available to them. It also gives unlimited possibilities for a never-ending unfoldment of Truth for those already liberated. Personally, it pointed out that even awakening to the source, need not be a landing place... Freedom! It does so with out many new terms, and it is simply written which I greatly appreciate. Good job and thank you for writing this illuminating book. I would also like to give thanks to Zarina and all the others that helped.

He has never disappointed me. This latest book was truly liberating for ...
I have studied The Diamond Approach and A H Almaas for over 20 years. He has never disappointed me. This latest book was truly liberating for me. Describing the terrain of awakening he returns us to right where we are.... to the truth that the pulse of Life pours thru my body and soul... right Here. Teachings and epiphanies emerge from every sensation. All inclusive, this view is wide open and accepts all Life as home. If you have read any Almaas.... read this, if you have not... read this.

TURNING INTO FREEDOM
Almaas has brought his body of work into an ease read. The Alchemy of Freedom hascome at a time when we evolving beings need to have some guidance to remain human. At each turn of my life I have become aware of the over-arching turnings of my soul andam deeply grateful to Almaas for the understanding and clarity so I can confirm to myselfand to my soul what I am.

Another powerful, intelligent, and love inspired book from the spiritual teacher AH Almaas. Highly recommended for those who wish to know their True Nature, and the blessing of the freedom, and sense of indestructible and beneficent sacred being ness that comes with that.

Endless meandering :-(
I would like to give this book a good review, given the topic. But the title is just bait, for a book of endless meandering. It's basically about the Neo-Platonist concept of the One (in Islam, Tawhid), said over and over and over. The author just calls it the "true nature" instead. If you've read one Rumi poem about "the Beloved" you've read this book. I was so excited by the title, but it was not worth it. Sorry.

I really wanted to like this book but I didn't
I really wanted to like this book but I didn't. It felt hollow. I've read several of his early works and enjoyed them. I found this to be a distilled rehashing of some his other work which were deeper and richer.

Wave after wave ...
I found that I needed to read this book in a particular way ... allowing the words to be like waves, washing over me and through me, and so bringing a sense of 'aaaah', a feeling of gratitude, recognition, and even relief. From another level, many questions arose, concerning the 'terminology' - a certain inconsistency, occasionally riding on undeclared assumptions - but I understand this to be a function of the limitation of 'linear' language in evoking the complexity/simplicity of true nature. For me, this quote says it all: "Recognizing that true nature is from another world , from another dimension or realm of reality is a significant part of necessary awakening ". (p. 23, Shambhala. Kindle Edition). Heartening to hear a teacher from the 'post-psychological age' spell out something which has always been central to the wisdom traditions of the world.
