It is tied with cable ties, you will need something to cut these off.I ordered the 8 panel for a puppy I am due soon.Each panel is light weight, you put each panel next to each other (make sure its the correct way) you slide the metal pole into the four side bits at the side of the panel and that is it. It is that easy, simple to build. If you put two side panels together the wrong way, it won't fit due to the side bits on it, so this is the only thing you need to make sure you check.I have put 3 Cavapoos inside to test it, they seemed happy to play inside, they didn't climb out or try to, so couldn't see if it was sturdy enough. Shall do an update with the new puppy and if its any good when they try to get out etc.You could use this outside and push the poles into the ground etc if you have grass.

The pins that hold the panels together scare the dogs so have replaced them with strips of metal to create a kind of hingeWhen all connected the dog can move the pen as on tiled floorNow the new dogs have decompressed I have split it into 3 x 2 panels to block access to the kitchen and access to other things like book caseLots of doggy washing at the moment, use these to dry towels and bedding

It really is easy to assemble and takes second making it portable and effortless.This is the second we have ordered as we wanted one downstairs and one upstairs so that we can let the puppy rest/put her out of the way while we work/cook or just if she’s running around the house trying to steal everything and needs a “time out”Certainly sturdy enough to deal with something like a cocker spaniel puppy or similar, anything much bigger would be able to jump over the top.

My large dog recently had TPLO surgery and I have used this Pen to house off a bay window giving her a large recovery space during a 6-8 weeks restricted recovery plan.

It's great. We wanted a way to keep the puppy off our oak flooring. We've been able to section the room off & yet he's still able to see & be with us. We have it in an L shape.

Was hesitate to purchase this but glad I did. Its easy to put together (we have it on carpet) and gives pup plenty of space to play. I do wish the pins that hold the panels together were a little shorter, they curve at the top which means they can spins towards the puppy so if they jump they could possibly hurt themselves. If they were shorter they wouldn't be able to spin.. probably not good for taller breeds and I imagine it would move on hard floors but still a good investment..

Easy to put up and take down, strong and sturdy and great at giving my young pup space to play and sleep while I’m out of the house
