The quality of the rod and the attention to detail is unsurpassed at this price range. Casting is very smooth and the action is very nice. I searched quite a few places and returned a fair number of gave away different setups. I coupled this with the Dawia 2500 and is quite nice. The only issue I have is with the rear butt is is just a bit long so as not to get in the way when casting just takes some practice but I am looking into to reducing this. I highly recommend this rod for anyone hiking, car pole or vacation. The segment ends are reenforced by metal rings making this a very nice fit and the ceramic inserts are very nice.

I purchased this rod to use while hiking and camping. It fits nicely in the side of my pack. This is nicer than my two-piece Ugly Stiks and will probably become my go to rod. The day it came in I put a spinning reel on it and took it out despite bad weather. The fishing was poor, but the rod performed beautifully. The sections of the rod telescope out smoothly and lock in place pretty firmly. It telescopes into itself just as easily as it assembles. The construction seems very sturdy, this rod should hold up for many years with good care.

Rod looks to be made of very high quality materials. Everything is aluminum and carbon fiber. The reel seat is too far forward on the rod making it very awkward to cast. The base of the rod hits your body. One handed casting is out of the question. I don't see myself ever using it because of how awkward it is. Will just go back to my two piece ultralight.

Taking out of the package, it looked like a quality item. However, upon inspection, I noticed part of the bottom guide was shattered. Could have been due to the UPS person who threw it on the ground and the lack of packaging, but I would expect a quality rod to be able to handle a little more abuse than that.

This is now my favorite go to fishing rod. My son and I do a lot of hiking and its great to bring this compact and light rod with us.

Great rod! Very impressive, high quality, strong and compact rod. Nice medium action. It's nice to see high quality American Made products are still being produced. Outstanding customer service.

Finally we had ice break up on the river so I had a chance to use it. Seems to cast and handle well, it didn't break when I accidentally snagged a duck.
