After buying a new wireless printer that I had consistent trouble connecting with, I finally looked until I found a wired printer. THANK YOU CANON for keeping a wired option. My two wireless printers were impossible to connect. They didn't like my wifi - I finally gave up after wasting hours. This machine worked instantly, old -school, just download the driver and connect with cable to your computer. Easy!! It's not made for heavy print users , but for the occasional doc it's just fine!

I purchased this printer about a week ago from Amazon....it has sat in the box and I would stare at it wondering if I could manage to hook it up to my laptop...finally today I took it out of the box and gave it a try...to my utter surprise it was really simple to do....the CD that came with it was useless.....I Googled the instructions which were very clear and easy....I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants a good little printer that is easy to navigate...word of caution...it is loud...I had an Epson Stylus which was very quite ....so this will take a bit of getting use to....but it has earned my 5 stars !!

Printer worked for 15 months, then stopped powering on. Garbage. (bought two at the same time, both stopped powering on within the same week)

Been a challenge to find where FedEx left it retrieved it from bar ditch in water all soaking wet Inoperative

EZ connection, no problems installing and performed to perfection! Long story short.I recently purchased the MacBook Air and I needed a printer desperately.I had first purchased a Brother printer and between not being able to connect with the WiFi and the software, it was not pairing at all. Needless to say, I was frustrated to no end.So I got back on Amazon and purchased this Canon, just what the doctor ordered!I’m going to keep the Brother. I’m going to get a cable wire to connect the printer and my laptop. The Brother is a laser printer, so it has more ink mileage.Of course, it’s convenient to have wireless, but if it doesn’t work, the next best thing is the cable.In the meantime, I’ll be using the Canon.

The only problem I have is that after two months I can’t get the printer to turn on. So far the number to call for help has not been helpful.

I have been struggling with printer connectivity and really have enjoyed going back to the basics with this product. Plugs right into my laptop and works like a charm. Good value for the price.

Not too large or bulky, easy to set up, prints fine, nice looking.
