its aluminum.
It's a quality set but its aluminum. That means you cannot apply high heat or it will leech aluminum into your food which is not good so this kills a lot of the usefulness of the cup and pot stand. Your only going to be able to boil water and the cup must never go dry. The stainless steel versions don't have this limitations. So if that's OK with you than its a good buy.

Good product overall; some problems
Functioning canteen kit; not much more to say. Lighter than steel, solid product. The stove and cup are not perfectly flush with the canteen kit, but are still adequate. The screw-top is cross-threaded, but still functioning, and the cover comes with Alice clips instead of a belt loop. Still a keeper in my opinion!Update: Alice clips are not the same size as those used in the Armed Forces, making this item difficult to attach to a pack or belt in the usual way. Canteen cover fits loosely.

Great shtf gear
I'm very impressed with the durability in sturdiness of this canteen and cup. I'm ex-military so I'm accustomed to the plastic canteen with the metal canteen cup. The metal stove perch is a welcomed addition to my shtf gear. Would recommend everyone to own this product as it could possibly save your life.

It is a functional water receptical. The canteen cup is as easy to clean as a bare aluminum cup can be. The stove the cup rests in is exceptional. The overall is reasonably rattle free in the provided cover. The cover is light and insulated the fit is good. The cup and stove nestle well on the canteen or the plastic mill spec. The aluminum is lighter than the plastic. But the aluminum is prone to denting if handled roughly. If you were to heat the canteen remove the plastic lid it is hdp, And not thermaly stable. The silicone seal in the cap seems durable and plenty thick for long life. The cap retention chain seems functional but I would not trust it for more that just the cap.I like this but of kit. If you need one for camping or hiking. Get it. If you are looking at combat. Get the plastic.

Boils 1L water very quickly (3-5mins)
I love my aluminum canteen set. Aluminum is a better conduit than steel so it will boil water faster than your steel canteen. The nesting stove will also fit over an alcohol stove caniater/ sterno canned heat canisters. The only thing i dislike avout the set is the cloth cover. I didnt think i would need a strap on mine, but i was definately wrong. I crafted a strap for mine and solved the problem. But i love this little set.

Add to the emergency bag in your car
Added these to the emergency bag I keep in our cars and pickup. We can not only boil water to purify, but a few envelopes of instant soup, tea/coffee and a few dehydrated meals and a can or two means we have a few days of food in addition to other gear with us at all times. Don't forget to pack a spork or two !

Great, practical, unpretentious product!
Tried and true! Canteen (works as a sleeping bag foot warmer with my tea put in it before bed: ) Its also a pot, and a stove, all compact, light and, decently priced! End of story!

Decent For Price - Single Handle Breaks Easily
Pros:I thought it was decent for the price. Was able to boil directly on the fire. ]Case worked great to hold the canteen.Cons:The single handle on the canteen cup with broke easily.Gets very hot, handle carefully.

Seems good overall
I'm very pleased how lightweight it is and the fact the three items fit snug into each other and into the pouch but, the canteen doesn't hold a full liter of water, only about 850ml. On the plus side, the stove is quite sturdy and cup fits well on top of it for heating water. I can't comment of how durable it will be as I've not tried it outdoors yet

Take oven Mits.
Shame..fits well but a very stupid design. Put a trangia stove underneath or twigs and the fire roars out of the 3 holes right on the handles lol, the handles heat up quicker than the pot.
