An heirloom tool
A near-perfect tool. Light enough to be easily maneuvered yet heavy enough to need little added downward force to cleanly cut thick woody stems below ground level in heavy clay soil. A beveled cutting edge makes for a clean cut. Excellent balance. An honest wood handle, not fiberglass. Sturdy, heavy footwear a must. Most useful tool I've bought since my first vice grip.

Good for chopping thistles and hemlock
This is a very useful tool. I got it to level an area that was hard to mow, it chops through tough grass roots pretty easily. Then I discovered the best use, I can chop through the roots of poison hemlock and thistles and the long handle means I'm not at risk as I destroy these horrible weeds.

Great Tool
I looked everywhere for this hoe that I see used on a lot of YouTube gardening channels from Asian countries but it was difficult to find in the U.S. I received it in good time and love using it. I have two acres I garden and my soil is a lot of red clay which is very difficult to work but this tool bites into the soil as if it's fluffy loam and has saved me a lot of otherwise laborious digging. Love it.

It chops weeds.
There is a heavy and sharp piece of steel at the end of a solid feeling stick that cuts at or below the soil line. The blade angle is just right.

Too Bad
Very well-made eye hoe (metal part). Perfect angle and perfect weight. Even the handle was very nice with a smooth finish. Unfortunately, the hole in this eye hoe flares the opposite way that other ones do, so every few times you slam it into the dirt, it slides off the handle. Maybe putting in a screw or nail would help. Most hoes have a handle that flares out at one end, so the metal part stays on by gravity and can never slide off. Too bad they did not design theirs this way.

Solid tool
This will get a work out next spring. Much sturdier than the hoe you can purchase at Home Depot!

Super heavy duty Hoe.
When I ordered this hoe, I had no idea what a monster it is. Will last several generations of use.
