Apothecary Products Pill, Medicine, Vitamin Container Opener, Easily Open a Variety of Storage Vials

Perfect! This is just what I needed. These however to bend a little and you’ll have to bend them back. My suggestion is to try to snap off safety caps fast! Not sure how long this will last, but it’s good for now.

The local CVS pharmacist used one of these for another person's child-proof pill vials. I watched and was amazed. Never knew these tools existed. So as soon as I got home, I ordered one. I used it on 5 vials and one cough syrup bottle. Removing the vials' outer closure was not so easy because there is little or no space between it and the inner closure. However I quickly learned the procedure and removed all 5 vial closures without breaking anything or bending the tool. I also removed the outer closure from a bottle of cough syrup but will not do so again. For some reason, doing this results in the the inner closure no longer forming a liquid-tight seal. But it works so well on pill vials that my only regret is not knowing about this simple tool years ago.

I hate those child proof caps everything has. I understand the need but for people that are older or without kids in the house this is a godsend. Just ease it under the cap around the edges and slightly lift up. Once its loosened give it a hard tug and you have an easy open cap underneath.

I worked in a pharmacy for 5 years and am quite familiar with this tool as it is a necessity in the industry. This one is worthless. I cannot remove the safety cap on a single pill bottle. The tool simply bends. I would not have left such a poor review, but it's too late for me to return it so my only option is to warn others.

I saw the other reviews saying this opener was easy to bend, but I took a chance anyway, since it does look like the sturdy type used in pharmacies. Unfortunately, the reviews were right.The opener works as expected on smaller pill bottles, but for larger caps, I could feel it starting to bend right where the rubber grip begins. I've used decapping tools in pharmacies before, and I was careful to only hook the outer lid with the opener, but it's still too weak to pry off any caps that give resistance, like one you would see on a larger bottle of daily vitamins.This opener may look like the real deal, but it's only for light duty. Which is sad, because I could not find anywhere online to buy a professional version, which is why I took a chance on this listing.

I worked in pharmacy for almost 25 years and these were a lifesaver. We could lift the outer cap off a lid and leave the easy lid on to store on the shelf. I have arthritis in my right thumb and got this for home. I love it.

This was so challenging to find. Great find and works great. Didn’t take long to end but is to be expected when being used in a pharmacy
