I think I’m just not a bonnet girl. My curls are shoulder blade length ultra fine type 3a-3b, consequently, they didn’t fill up a regular bonnet and just slipped to the edges where they got crushed. Back to the pineapple/silk pillowcase. I shopped around and found this less roomy model but discovered that, although my curls stayed on top of my head, they got smushed in the tight quarters.The bonnet itself is a nice smooth satin inside and out, the elastic at the back isn’t tight yet does the trick to keep this on your head and the ties are bonus insurance. There is a wide pleat on top to allow for expansion.I’ll give it another go backwards (with the elastic at the front) but I might just have to resign myself to the fact that bonnets may not be for me. Heavy sigh.

It's great for keeping my hair from breaking while I sleep. Very comfortable.

Update:After seeing my review, Kitsch reached out directly to see what they could do and they refunded my purchase. While the product itself didn’t work out, I do appreciate their customer service being so proactive! Updating my review to a 4 for the overall experience.This bonnet is of great quality and I love the elastic feature. However, I don’t feel that this product is tailored to all hair types - specifically natural hair. The actual bonnet is very small and does not have any stretch for a lot of hair. I have a medium length Afro and, because I’m trying to grow my hair out, this bonnet will not be usable for me in a few months because my hair simply won’t fit. If your hair is straight and you don’t care about fitting all of it in/protecting all of it, then this would be good for you.

I was a little hesitant because I’ve never spent 22 dollars on a bonnet, I usually get mine from Walgreens. But I was tired of my dinghy bonnets and wanted something nicer that wouldn’t stretch out after 2 months. This bonnet is amazing because it’s super soft and I love that there is a tie for additional support. The elastic already does a good job, maybe because I have a big head but I can’t recommend this enough. Treat yourself and protect your hair. :)
