Without this sheep, my hubby and I would have lost tons of sleep. Even he says this is the best thing we own for the baby. I have purchased 2 more for my parents and in-laws houses too! My daughter is 16m and we have have been using this since she was born. Now she holds it and puts her face to it everynight to go to sleep. We have taken it traveling all over with us and its just the best thing to have for sleep. Mimicks heart beats and it has a music option too. We use both and she loves it, the sound is perfect in my opinion. Please get this for you baby, youll thank me one night at 2 am, I promise.

The grandbaby is SLEEPING ALONE. He's 8 weeks old and wouldn't sleep anywhere that wasn't ON someone (mostly his mommy or me, Nana). Day it delivered and put into use and he's sleeping soundly in his own space. Please see update below.This is the second one I've bought. The first one last 18 months with heavy use. Baby loved & needed it so much I ordered second one and had it sent next day. This second one shuts off after just a few minutes. It is far more sensitive than the first one.UPDATE:It works great now. My husband was using cheap batteries he found somewhere and this is why it was not working correctly. I replace the batteries with the good ones I always use and Ewan works fine now. The light is bright, the sound s louder and it lays for the full 20 minutes.

I have a 4-month-old baby, and I have been using this sheep for about two months now. My baby loves it! I also have an older nephew who is 8 months old, and he enjoys it as well. The brightness is sufficient to see the sheep at night. It offers a variety of sounds, but my baby only likes one of them. The quality of the sheep is sturdy and soft; however, after a few washes and an accidental trip through the dryer, the softness remains, but the fabric has lost its fluffiness. It's a great gift and has decent quality, but I do think it is a bit pricey since I have to constantly change the batteries, and the sounds only last for 20 minutes. It turns on by itself sometimes, triggered by any sound, not just by the baby crying.

By far our favorite baby tool so far. My 9 week old would struggle to stay asleep after we put her down for the night. We've been using Ewan and a nested bean sleep sack for a few weeks now and she went from maybe a 2-3 hours night cycle to a solid 4 hours after the first few days. Then one night she actually went 7 whole hours, we were blown away. We fully expected her not to sleep the next night but then she went about 6 hours that night. The weighted sack helps her relax and the sheep shushes her to sleep. The noise detection shushes her right back down if she wakes up before she actually hungry.My only issues with the sheep are that the buttons aren't visible from the outside. Its a bit of a pain to try and feel around for the right buttons, the velcro is too loud to open if baby is half asleep. Also the screw lock on the battery cover is unnecessary, it makes changing the batteries a much larger task than it needs to be. A clip battery cover would be sufficient. It also sometimes picks up the sound of our wall heater and kicks on, wasting the battery life. These three complaints are the main reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.Overall though its an amazing tool thats helping teach our daughter better sleeping habits and saving us from a lot of long nights soothing her back to sleep. Its not a miracle toy, but its worth the high price tag to finally help us adults sleep again.

Materials and construction excellent quality. The sensor activates to play selected tune/sounds when the child cries. A light turns on with the sounds. It can all be programmed to activate (or not) described items as you prefer. There are several sounds, including one that perhaps sounds like mom's heartbeat while the baby was waiting to be delivered, a gentle "shhh" sound, and a variety of others. Very nice. Would buy again. Worth the $.

Ewan the sheep is a nice gift... you can only program for 20min, 40mins, 80mins.... that's a long time to have it running... battery dies all the time....I'm constantly charging it....
