It's still a decent read
I feel, like many things, GQ has declined over the 2 decades I have been a reader. However, it is still a decent read and fairly well written.I began reading GQ because of its monthly Q & A article titled 'The Style Guy'. I enjoyed that and many other regular articles. I also enjoyed the style it represented. It has deviated in recent years from classy to a more ostentatious and radical look. I still enjoy the magazine, but have possibly outgrown it, i.e. gotten old.

great ads
I wanted to get a small book of advertisements delivered monthly and this really hits the spot. I sometimes get irritated with the placement of these "articles" but they are easily skipped to get back to the ads.Now if only I could figure out how to get YouTube to stop showing me so many videos in between ads life would be consumerist heaven.-S0rryBTR

Way too many ads!
I have noticed a trend in the latest magazines to let advertisement take over the entire magazine. IN the case of GQ, it has gone above and beyond. ON the edition shown for the MJ edition, I opened it and it was very thick magazine. I ordered 2 years since I thought it was a good deal. What i got was 80% ads and 20% reading material. THe reading material is poorly written, it seems the writer just graduated from high school. He had alot of grammar and syntax issues. THe material itself is great.. its pretty hip and stays within mainstream. The material itself stays with the mainstream culture and covers the latest stories and news. But the ads are so annoying, they are bigger than the reading material so if you try to flip the pages, you are likely to flip to another ad. Alot of it is about sex... which is fine... but its crudely written and doesnt really offer much insight. Its like two college students writing their sex life as if its their term paper due tomorrow morning. Then, the reading material is cutoff and then goes to another page... so for ex, if ur at page 90, it would want you to flip to page 137 to continue, and the rest of the pages are just random stories and coverage all into one. So it would be like 4 page of one topic and then asks u to flip to another page.... so another story can come in and more ads.I wont recommend a 2 year subscription.... the price is good, but I think im paying for ads. Its a good read at the news stand for what its worth. If you want some real insights, I recommend going online. THe ads in the magazine does show some new products...The upside is they do tell you how to dress, latest trends and some coverage. However... ads really kill this magazine.

GQ is a must read for every man
This magazine and Men's Health continue to be two of my favorite mags to read on a monthly basis. They both hold some relevant and thought-provoking articles as well as great tips for improving things like fashion sense, bedroom etiquette, and also insight from the opposite sex on certain topics that will both laugh and make you think.

awesome
GQ is an excellent magazine. The interviews are are clear, indepth and concise. In fact they are so good it leaves you longing for more.however what is even more shocking is how they can interview on one hand a rich and famous actor and then write about something as tragic as the mass murders in norway and you as the reader can be both left in awe on one hand and disgust and sadness in the other.its a thinking mans magazine and though i cant afford mass majority of stuff in there i can always in cool substitutes.

Photographer staying in tune w/ Men's Fashion
My male models/subjects often ask for my opinion on what they should wear. Granted that they don't have much of a collection, but just incase that they do, I want to be sure I'm in tuned in men's latest style is.This was perfect. Although my Boyfriend is larger in size and won't be able to pull most of the style off, but to have a little bit of an idea what he can try certainly helps as well.I have skim through this magazine before a while back and wanted to adopt a few fashion trend for myself (i like to tomboy is out sometimes). I finally pulled out the cash and subscribed. Haven't regret it yet. I love it =)

good value
I ordered this subscription from Amazon and in 3 weeks I got my first issue. Very fast processing.GQ has been around forever. It has now become more a mainstream book competing with more in the likes of Maxim but still with some of the elegance that it always had.I look to this magazine for the latest trends in fashion, and tech. It's not the best book, but it is a good read.
