This is a nice modern-looking desk. It is a bit more brown and less reddish than the picture, but it’s nice. We are all here because we look on those modern furniture websites and see those $2500 Executive Desks and really like them, but can’t justify the price currently. One day :) one day I hope our businesses are successful and we can afford such things. For now, this is perfect!It feels very sturdy and the colour and design are beautiful. It can easily fit a big desktop computer with plenty of room leftover.It initially was missing a small part for the drawer, and I contacted the seller about it. They had a surprisingly fast response time (within the same business day or even just a couple hours) and they spoke good English, so nothing was lost in translation. I let them know the missing part and they sent back a picture of the instructions with that piece highlighted, as well I requested a picture of it before they sent it out because some of the pieces look similar, and they sent that too. Decently fast shipping and my desk is now fully complete :) and the seller was very kind as well. They were completely understanding and professionalNow all the screws were in two bags and not separately bagged, so you’ll wanna spend some time first organizing all the screws. Also, put some padding down on the floor before you lay the wood on it so as to prevent scratching.It’s pretty big, so you ought to assemble it in the room you want it in. Two people might be helpful to align the back board near where the feet would extend to and the top might be heavy for some, but I put it together myself and it’s honestly the first real piece of furniture I put together so you certainly don’t need two people. The back board conjoining the two drawer towers can be kinda hard to align thoughThe instructions were logical and concise. If you have trouble, just Look at it — really look at it piece by piece. I promise the instructions are right; concise, but right. You’ll do well to spend time making neat piles of all screws, wood, and metal before assembly.Another tip: I wondered why a particular screw wasn’t going in on the back metal pieces; I looked and there was a burr in the metal. It’s where the metal sticks out a little in the screw line. I just nicked it away with a sharp screw, and then it worked ! So you can try that if you see a burr. Also on the metal piece that connects the two drawer sections, again a screw wouldn’t fit — no burr, but I saw a metal tab in one of the screw holes that was sticking out a little. I used the screwdriver it came with to bend that back a little and then it worked perfectly! You can try that too.It would do you well to put the screws in each and every hole for the metal without actually assembling it yet; first, put the screws in all the metal to make sure they fit without burrs or obstacles, then remove them and then assemble normally. Don’t go super tight but go decently far enoughAn unexpected bonus was it is the same exact wood finish as that Vasagle brand bookshelf! The same exact matching stain which I thought was cool. But the bookshelf is flimsy and I wouldn’t recommend; but if you already own those products, it’ll match 100%!The rustic brown colour is what I got and if I were you I’d hold out for it and wait till it’s restocked rather than going with the normal brown. It really is a lovely colourThe sellers were kind so I wanted to give an in depth review and hopefully this will help you!It’s not a $5000 modern desk on an expensive modern furniture website, but it’ll look something near that till you can afford it :)Should you just wait till you can easily afford a $5000 desk? Nah, lol, quit using your crappy old desk that you hate and just get this. Then when you do super well financially you can go for the expensive stuff without hesitation. Till then, enjoy this desk and be happy. It looks great in the early morning light. Very rustic and 18th-19th century appeal. Would recommend a brown leather office chair to match

The desk drawers are small and narrow. They will hold a 8 1/2 x 10 paper (size of the drawer. They are not deep or tall. My fault for not paying attention to the drawer size before purchasing. Assembly was a little difficult instructions not really clear. The over all desk is sturdy enough, I have 2 computer screens and a lap top that I use daily. The width and length is good. I would buy this desk again. The disk is worth what I paid. I did have to purchase a 3 drawer filing cabinet to accommodate my files.. I

Love it. Looks beautiful. I definitely suggest checking out the dimensions. It's pretty long but we wanted that!

As you can imagine, this desk was quite difficult to put together. As good as it looks, there are some exposed screws on the front of the desk that don’t quite look like they belong.All in all, it feels sturdy. Hopefully it holds up.

amazing desk

Solid desk. Adds to the beauty of my home. It's very solid and I love the esthetic. However the black pieces do scratch fairly easy. Because of that I might not purchase again.

I'm older and slower, but this is the worst directions and assembly ever from China. Once you are done it is ok. Photo veneer on pressed board is easy to scratch or chip. The bottom part that goes in all four drawers is 1/8 to long, all need cut. Directions are stupid at best, spend a little more buy USA , I will, last China junk I hope to buy, know it's tough to avoid.
