I was excited and got disappointed. It stopped working within the first 6 months

Product looks nice, comes in a plastic showcase box reminiscent of the GoPro.Idea is great. A plug in charger that contains a backup battery that charges while you charge your device. Probably not a constant carry, but great if you travel.In practice:The battery can get a little warm while charging. It smells a bit like hot plastic the first couple of times you use it.The port only charges at 1A, not 2.1A.It does not have an integrated lightning or micro USB cable. Which would make it the holy grail of chargers.The design is too boxy and has sharp corners. This is unfortunate, as it makes the product annoying to pocket. A flatter design would have been much better.I liked it but ended up giving it away. I got a linear flux charger instead (which is hidden in their online store for some reason).

I was so, SO excited to find this product because the concept is both clever and efficient. Who has the time or outlets to charge their emergency charger and phone separately when the two can be combined? Initially, this was a 5 star purchase for me. Great looking product, felt quite well made, very portable, and intuitively designed. I used it every day at least twice a day and could absolutely justify the price tag.Within 4 months, though, the product began to break down. The fold-out plug separated so that the two prongs would have to be folded down separately when I wanted to plug the battery pack into the wall, and one prong became very loose in its socket. I would have to push the loose prong back into its socket to get the battery to charge, and as time passed, even pushing the prong into place did not allow for the battery to charge. At this point, the product didn't work as an emergency battery or a phone charger. To be clear, this product was never dropped or treated with excessive force. For the price, a lifespan of only a few months really isn't justifiable. Truly sad because this product would be perfect if it had a bit more longevity.

Great back up battery for all USB devices. I have also used is as a charger and it seems to charge both device and battery at the same time. Very little difference in charge times. It is solid I have dropped it on the street a couple times and it still works and looks good.UPDATE: Less than a year later it doesn't hold a charge for more than a day.

My first one seems to have died on me and stopped charging but by that time I was hooked and quickly got a back up. Essential for me as I live on the road where power sources are not always available

I was a bit confused by the power indication light function. I had the unit plugged in and it showed a full charge, but when removed and plugged into my phone it would show two levels less... It made me feel like there was something wrong with the product.

I bought two of these as gifts. One of them was a dud and did not charge at all. However, I returned it and got a replacement that works fine. The charger is very convenient for traveling.

I love the size of this battery. It performs its charging function well and I like the indicator showing how much charge is left. The only problem is that after sitting in my backpack for 3 months, it was dead. This is not a great feature for a back-up power supply. I don't know if the status button gets pressed while in my backpack, but the bottom line is that this is not something I can depend on.UPDATE: 10 months after my purchase, it continues to have no power when I need it. It absolutely fails as a backup power supply. I have a Ventev Powercell 6000 bought at the same time that I love; it always has power when I need it. Note that it has twice the juice but is more than twice the size and weight, so you wouldn't want to carry this in a pocket or purse. I will look for another small backup power supply.
