I enjoyed viewing examples of geodes as well as explaining locales of where to find them.

This is a beautiful, quality book. My 10 year old son is into geodes currently and this was the most detailed book we have come across. He was excited to look at the colorful pictures and read the little stories on them. This is by far the best geode book we have come across. I would highly recommend to anyone that is interested in the natural beauty of geodes.

this a beautifully photographed, glossy resource book.something to even keep on a coffee table.we bought it for a middle school science project and it was actually too much information for our purposes.we are keeping it as my child is interested in geodes and likes the book.recommend for advanced readers or middle school to adult.

This is a fantastic book to acquant yourself with the different types of geodes and the processes that formed them. Easy read for a novice to serious collector or student. Well illustrated, too. I have been collecting geodes for several years, but I have just recently begun to appreciate the multitude of types from various locations around the U.S. I found each chapter helped further my understanding of these wonderful gems that nature has created. Frankly, this is the best book that I have read on the subject yet! I was not disappointed.
