Decomust 40" Large Mid Century Modern Sputnik Light Fixture / Italian Starburst Chandelier

I had installed 2 other sputnik lights in my kitchen and dinning room and wanted a similar look for my foyer. This was the largest light of this style I could find. Now that it is installed, I must say it looks beautiful and is about the size I was hoping for.The only caveat I have is that, it is not easy to install, especially if you are hanging this on a high spot (like Foyer, where most people will be installing this). It is not just the bulbs you have to install, you have to install the crystal fixtures and first, you cannot tell whether or not it is in properly as there is no end. You keep screwing it and screwing and it keeps on going. You just have to guess when it is sufficiently inserted. Second, you cannot install the bottom half until the light is installed in place since they extend quite a bit from the center and they are not strong enough to support the weight of the entire fixture. This would be fine for installing in dinning room where you can reach the bottom easily, but not so when you are installing this 20 feet above your foyer. Would have been nice to have some sort of metal support to install everything while on the ground.

The media could not be loaded.  This chandelier is simply stunning for the entryway and the foyer area with open ceiling. I bought two of them and they look amazing. Contemporary yet has that classy look and goes well with any type of accents.. both traditional and modern

Ha ha, now I know why my husband (the one that purchased it) calls it Sputnik. I thought we were just having fun and it looks like a space something so we called it that. but it's its name. ha haIt gets a lot of compliments, looks very elegant. It's dimmable so I like that. Easy to install.

Considering the price, this is not a 40" light. Only the acrylic spikes reach 40". The lights are shorter than 40". Does not have a grand look. I give it one star for the the chrome look of the center core.

I really like the light, but decided not to use the long "spindles." I like it better without them. It goes well with my decor.

We love this light fixture. Just make sure to purchase LED bulbs as the regular ones emit a lot of heat.

This item looked beautiful and was for a clients staging, sadly it arrived after showing time so we had to install another light and send this back but hoping I get another reason to order and install.
