Only worked for about 20 minutes
Followed the instructions, and it seemed straight forward (you'll need tap oil and lock-tite as those don't come with the kit, but you'll need them). After the repair, and sitting for 24 hours, about 20 minutes in at full throttle (it's a leaf vac, so it runs full throttle all the time) I heard "POW" and the spark plug shot out of the engine like a bullet and hit the side of the house. I suggest spending a few extra bucks and buying a used head (cost me $12 on eBay from a reputable seller) and don't bother with the plug insert repair process. Replaced the head and now the engine is running fine again.

I pretty much duplicated what he did and it worked perfect
Worked perfectly for my mower...it also helped that I watched a youtube video where a guy used this exact set. I pretty much duplicated what he did and it worked perfect. Also helps to read the instructions. haha.It took about 5 or 6 trys for me... Each time, greasing the end and using a 3/8" ratchet to work the (drilling / carving) bolt and produce some aluminum shavings. Each time I'd get a good amount and then clean it off and start over. Finally it worked it's way throughAfter that, just follow the directions and it was easy.

Everything you need EXCEPT a drop or two of Threadlocker
Worked great on my 2002 Toro Recycler Mower with the Tecumseh engine. I would have given 5 stars except this "kit" has everything you need EXCEPT Threadlocker. Would have been nice to have included a tiny vial/tube of the the RED (permanent) Threadlocker. Pleased with the product, The tap worked well and a nice selection of inserts.

Not the best option for a permanent fix.
The soft aluminum will come apart when the plug is used to install the insert. If you plan on never removing the plug this kit is great. But not serviceable.

Kit is flimsey but did repair my 8hp snowblower head . Use a impact for the tap it works fine would buy again perfect for small engine repair i would buy a higher qaulity if i were to use it on automotive .

Do not buy.total waste of money.the incerts are so soft it fell apart.it unraveled.crazy.total waste of 30 bucks it cost me.
