Purchased for a friend's son who a portable reeds typewriter. Nice to see you can still get these and are a good quality.

This ribbon is so faint. It hasn’t got enough ink on it so it’s useless

Good amount of ink on these spools, and quite long ribbon too! clean divide between the colours, alas have to respool them on old reels as the centre hole on these isnt big enough to fit on the silver-reed silverette II. perhaps i read the description wrong who knows. but respooling is pretty straight forwards just a bit of a pain to do, may as well just come without these spools.

Almost all typewriter ribbons are 1/2" (12.5 - 12.7mm) in width. I have an Imperial Model 50 (1940) desk typewriter and as long as you have the original pair of metal spools you can adapt this ribbon.Loads of YouTube videos are available to show how do de-reel and re-spool a ribbon and the hole process took less than 20 mins. The ribbon supplied is a good quality tough anti stretch material and although well covered with both red and black ink was not oozing with ink as some of these are supplied by cheep distributers who ink their own used ribbons before re-sending out!Just a note, most typewriters which are twin colour with black and red are installed with the colour strip at the bottom. Just remember "black over red" and you're good to go. I see so many typewriters where the ribbon has been installed upside down and the red strip is at the top!So, in summary a good ribbon, well inked supplied in an air tight wrapper and spare plastic reels left over from the re-spooling. Def worth the money.

Entgegen der Produktbeschreibung paßt das Band NICHT in die Silver Reed SR 200, da die Löcher in den Spulen kleiner sind als die Vorrichtung zum aufstecken derselben. Somit kann ich über die Qualität des Bandes nichts sagen.Jedoch sind Rücksendung und Erstattung reibungslos von statten gegangen.
