it having been a while ago when i got it, i don't have perfect memory of it, but i don't remember a pot, and i did have a gallon of it.

This is dried terrestrial moss, not aquatic moss, so it would likely rot/disintegrate if submerged.

Q: Can this be used in a Terrarium and will it grow?

This moss has been heat treated which may kill spores. For a live Mood Moss that is actively growing, choose Josh's Frogs Fresh Mood Moss.
