Perfect sleeping bag for outdoor

Annoying Zipper and Impossible Storage Bag
I "sleep" like I'm on a rotisserie, so narrow bags or mummy sacks just don't work for me. I need a wider sack. This sack fits me to a T. It kept me comfortably warm at 48°, and did not cause me to overheat even though I am going through hot flashes. However the problems arose when I wanted to get out of this sack, quickly, because that wasn't going to happen. Zipper is a slippery beast and likes to catch up in the fabric. Nothing you can't work around, but you're not going to unzip this quickly. I did find it to be wide enough to allow me to sleep with one of my legs hiked up as a side-sleeper does and not feel constricted. My second beef is with the compression sack they included. Is almost impossible to get the sack into the bag; in fact they had to use a vacuum sealer to get it compressed enough to fit into the bag easily. And it took me almost 5 minutes to peel the bag off of the compressed sac. It was at that point I almost returned it, but I needed it for that following weekend. Unfortunately, most of us can't take a vacuum sealer into the field and I shit you not, it took me 18 minutes after rolling the sack to get it back into the bag. At that point I had to resort to tying it up with paracord and cinching it that way, I was finally able to get it into the bag. It should also be noted that the bag does not have a "top cover" ( or even a flap to cover the opening) so is not anything at all resembling water-resistant.If I hadn't needed it for the weekend, I probably would have returned it.I hope that you found my opinion helpful.

Not for backpacking, is warming, but no way it is for winter camping
I am an avid hiker, camper, and wilderness backpacker. Weight and storage space is a premium when it comes to going out into the wilderness for days on out -- especially if the pack itself carries anywhere between 50-75 lbs.So, is it suitable for backpacking? Resoundingly, NO. It is too heavy and packs too big. BUT... And that's a BIG BUT: it is only $35 and nowhere near my $200-$300 sleeping bags. So, that would be an unfair comparison. I would not take it out for backpacking either way.You should also be aware that the filling is made almost entirely of Polyester. What does that mean?- Does not shrink- Quick drying- Flexible and strong (no need to iron)- Not as breathable as cotton and will stick to a bare body when wet- Water resistant, but not waterproofThe product claims to be useful for 3-4 seasons. I would put it more in line with 3 seasons. I would not trust it out in 32F without extra layers.Overall, for $35, it is a decent, very inexpensive sleeping bag that I use as a blanket, but definitely not for wilderness backpacking.

Not real camping. Grandkids backyard "camping"
Sometimes the grandkids want to go camping in the backyard. This is perfect for that. Set up the small tent and they sleep outside. Would not take this to the wilderness.

Light and soft
Very packable, but I consider it an extra layer and not really a stand alone bag for winter. The size is fine for one adult or child.
