After I used these plates for a week,I give some reviews now, because I want to give the most realistic evaluation. I was very excited when I received the plates,which are modern and clean looking, the color is modern yellow with bling golden edge. These are quality products. This set would make a wonderful gift for someone or just a way to brighten up your own meals. I can’t believe I’ve become the person excited about a dinnerware set! The quality is EXCELLENT and can hold a lot of food. These are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I would suggest these.

Used this set for the first time tonight, cutting my steak on the plate left knife scratch marks.Seller is aware of this defect.DO NOT BUYSeller responded back and they know of the issues and said I should polish the plate after using to get rid of scratches.I'm not polishing my dishes after using them.

This really is a beautiful set. Each piece has a nice weight to it and feels durable. I've hit a few pieces against each other or other hard surfaces and they haven't chipped at all yet. The size of each piece is perfect, not too big or too small. This is a great set for entertaining because all together, it looks very expensive and high end, like a fine dining restaurant.The finish is well done. The stripe down each piece is slightly blue and I don't have any blue in my kitchen but the blue is very subtle and blends well with the tan and black so that it doesn't clash with my rustic green-themed kitchen. One side of the stripe is shiny, one side is matte. The matte side tends to get a little scuffed and highlight water marks if you have hard water but cleans up well with a cloth. (Matte black is nearly impossible to keep nice looking.) Due to the style of the stripe and finish and its subtle differences in each piece, these have a hand-dipped look that's very attractive. It doesn't look uniform and machined but it's not totally rustic, either.One mug and one plate has minor defects. They aren't really noticable unless you know they're there and then you can't unsee them. They are thin spots in the finish where you can see the underlying ceramic. They aren't so bad that they're unsightly and I only removed one star as a result because it's hard to get perfect dishware that still maintains a homemade look that's attractive like these are. A few defects are almost nice in a way.Overall, I'm really happy with this set and I feel it's worth the money. It looks beautiful on the table with food and beautiful displayed in your kitchen if you like the masculine color scheme like I do. The combination of glossy and matte is also very stylish as opposed to being just one finish. And these feel like they'll last a long time.

These dishes are very sturdy and extremely elegant. After a few rounds through our dishwasher, I can say they're highly chip-resistant as well! I'm not exactly the most careful person, and I've put these dishes through some experiences that should have caused damage but didn't. I was pleasantly surprised!The description said "black and yellow", but as you can see from the photos there are also tinges of blue and beige, just FYI. Definitely not a showstopper for us, but in case you're looking for something highly specific, keep it in mind.
