What a Rush!
Fast paced at times and thrilling! Hard to put down. Wasn't sure I wanted to start another series but so glad I did. Also glad to see the next book ties into this one. Thanks Ms Sparks for this new series that I can have entertain me for a while. That's what is so great about available Kindle books. Keep them coming guys and girls.

Gutsy with intricate twists, turns and a few missteps!
Darcy's little ritual at the beginning for the victim was off putting. I thought Darcy and her band were destined to be simplistic Squeaky-Clean-Do-No-Wrong characters. I almost put the book down. I was wrong. Not much further in and I have a clear view of characters like the sheriff, Tim and even the old town gossip. Darcy's character is really still water! I love that she reviews her FBI training frequently, and then methodically makes changes so that her "gut," evidence, and rationale all meet. I loved this book. The action was intense, but not so much that I felt like an adrenaline junkie. Darcy's approach is thoughtful, rational, gutsy with just enough realism to make me feel that I was looking over her shoulder at the evidence as the plot unfolds. Great read!

Great book!
I enjoyed everything about this book. I would haveLoved to have it end with the catch of a bad guy, but that is the beginning of the next exiting adventure. Thank you.

Out smarting a killer
Love this book from the beginning. Poor Darcy the trauma after all this time would drive a person insane. She has been to the edge and slowly came back. Very interesting plot.

Suspenseful and liked the premise. I hope to read many more of Darcy Hunt FBI. Please, keep her smart as she is in this first book. Well done Eva Sparks!

Enticing!
This was a page turner all the way. I don't usually read first person books, but this was a fun one to read. I plan to continue with the series.

It was a real struggle to finish reading this book!
Although I had high hopes for this novel & for this “new-to-me” author based on the stellar reviews, I was terribly disappointed and really struggled to continue reading all of the way to the end. The pacing of the plot was excruciatingly slow! And I take no pleasure in stating that I figured out who the murderer was about 2/3 of the way through the book. I would so much rather that the author be able to constantly keep me off balance by developing clever and unexpected twists and turns, keep me guessing until the very last page. There was so much repetition of the main character’s inner thoughts over and over and over! That repetition added nothing worthwhile to the story and merely delayed the plot from progressing. Don’t tell me 20 times how devoted to her job the FBI agent is and how hard she works, to the exclusion of her personal life! Don’t tell me repeatedly how she’s been able to solve many cases in the past that no other agent could! Show me by skillfully weaving in examples of both attributes that also advance the plot line. This novel, in my opinion, fails to reach the level at which a 4-star rating is justified, much less 5 stars. But to each his own! My best advice?Download a sample and decide for yourself!
