MINELABVanquish Metal Detector Carry Bag for Adults

No padding, but fits my Vanquish 440 like it was made for it. Would be nicer if it had a side pocket to hold a wand.

Apparently, I am not the first customer to think that this bag is a really tight fit. However, I finally figured it out, getting the detector properly oriented in the bag. Fold the coil toward the back of its support rod, then put the detector in, with the control box up next to the zipper, not downward as I first tried. No need to take off the arm support, like I did at first; when fully collapsed it fits just fine. I only have the 10" coil, but there is room for the headphones, a trowel, a pin-pointer, the rain cover and fast start card, and it looks like another coil or two could still fit beside the detector. Once the detector was put in correctly, it all seemed obvious, but I missed it at first. Bag is well made of tough material, but not padded. It seems good to keep the kit together, keep out moisture, dust and dirt, and provide basic scratch and dent protection.

Fit my Vanquish 540 with the 12 inch coil perfectly. I can even fit an 8” coil in it with the detector and it’s 12” coil on it. Can’t ask for more than that. The price is fair enough. The zipper is decent but it was pretty rough feeling and sounding when I received it. Like everything I purchase with a zipper on it I zipped it closed and ran a line of zipper lubricant one end to the other, ran my finger along it to press it in further, and ran the zippers open and closed ten times. Then used a finger to press in the excess lubricant into the zipper car. After lubing it up the zipper is much more smooth and quiet.I added a patch with my last name on it to the bag. I really like having the bag to put my detector in.

My Vanquish fits perfectly. It stays protected on the back seat of my truck. There is also a pocket inside for different items, I keep batteries in it.

My fault really took a chance to see if it would fit Minelab 1000 just to small sent it back

After working with this bag for a while I was able to get the 12" coil to stow properly AND stow the 8" coil inside as well. I thought this should be mentioned. It was me....not the bag. So I've changed the rating to a 5.I have the 540 Pro Pack, which comes with 8 and 12 inch coils.I completely "collapsed" the 540 with the 8" coil and it, along with my digging shovel in the inside compartment and Pro Pointer 35 in the zippered compartment fit easily into this bag.I tried it with the 12" coil and there was no way it was going to zip shut.I don't have the 10" coil so I can't speak about that.I gave 4 stars because it won't work with the 12" coil and it is not padded.
