Easily sparks up a gas grill or lights paper or cardboard. It's not a powerful as a gas flame, because it's such a concentrated arc, but great for most purposes. For pipes and ciggies, it's awkward because you kind of have to get the tines around what you're lighting, but it works in a pinch. A better product is a zippo style rechargeable lighter (which I also bought) that is only a little more expensive and comes with a waterproof case, great for camping. But for fireplaces and grills, these little sticks are golden.

Purchas2 of these, one for the house and one for the camper! Great for lighting candles and starting campfires. Easy to charge and a must have for outdoors!

This thing is super convenient foe lighting candles. I use it for lighting my charcoal too when grilling(as long as you have fluid or use newspaper it works). My only issue is the battery. It seams to need charging all the time after little use

I wish I had known about these a long time ago. These will save me a lot of money. Gone are the days of buying disposal lighters for my candles. These are easier to use, no more holding down safety switches to light my candle. The slide up switch is easy to do, then you push the button and light the candle. I love this. More value for your money. It's appearance is sleek. You don't even know it's a lighter. It comes with its own charging cable. It's a very unique Lighter.

The media could not be loaded. They’re great for a SINGLE WICK CANDLE only. Battery life tends to go down VERY fast. Best to keep them on a charger until needed. They do not work while plugged in. Overall was a great idea, but not worth the price.
