I installed this product in my work computer because it is installed underneath my desk. I would definitely suggest running your wires before connecting the motherboard pins. I connected all the pins before I realized that I still needed to get the wire through the hole in my desk, which the button would never fit through. I cheated a little by taking the electronics out of the body and inserting them individually through the hole, then reassembling on the other side. It would normally be easier to just reinstall the pins but my computer is stuck in an awkward place.I like that this comes with a PCI slot cover to keep you from pulling on the pins. I don't care for the bare metal color of it but that is not a huge deal. Both buttons in the body work well and I've not had any problems using them. I don't really care for the style of it, as it doesn't easily fit into my desk's color scheme. I may end up 3D printing a new casing for it. All in it, it is functional though, in my opinion, not very attractive. Good for the price.

IDK why it took me so long to think of getting one of these. I have a PC out of reach, button near the ground, behind a door. This let me extend it so I don't have to reach into an awkward location.If you don't like the external LEDs, just don't connect the LED pins. But, helpful for sanity check ("is it on?).Came with full-size bracket, you'll have to cut for Slim, or just don't use it and go out of a blank slot. Also came with like a 3m padded 2-side tape if you want to adhere.Works great. Convenient. Good price. Any more $ than this and I'd go wireless remote.

I was hesitant to purchase this because of some of the reviews. I actually have two of these, I bought them separately about 2 weeks apart. The packaging was fine on both of them. The lights don't bother me since I have RBGs everywhere, but both buttons are kind of out of sight. They were easy to install and after a week there both still functioning. As far as materials there not the best but it could defiantly be far worse. For being only $10.00 well worth the price, for never having to crawl under my desk again!

It's a bit more plastic than I would like, but I can't really knock it for that as it's accurate in the pictures. It works well, it's as easy to install as any front panel connectors, and is better than jumping the pins to start my open-air rig. Works just as you would expect any power button on a case to, not much else to say. Cable is a good length, long enough to go from the floor to the opposite side of a desk, and it also comes with a PCIE slot adapter, so you can thread the cable through a rear slot (like, the rear cutout where inputs for a graphics card would be) and use the provided metal insert to seal it up around the cable.Like I said, I'm using it with an open air rig, but with the provided metal panel for the rear slot it would be very easy to connect this to any standard desktop that's out of reach and move the power button somewhere closer, without having to have an open hole somewhere to let the cable through. It also has LEDs that flash during load like a standard button would.

Already established know how of pin setup of motherboard lets you move PC controls to the desktop. Great for those learning that a toddler will push a button when presented with one

My desk setup makes it awkward for me to reach my case’s power button while seated at my desk. I might be seated there using my work laptop when I decide that I need my personal desktop for a moment, so this switch makes it easy for me to turn on the pc without having to get up. It’s probably a bit overpriced for what it is, and it looks a little silly, but it works great.

6 yr old self built PC. Pwr on switch bad. Cord pretty long. Connections marked. Just match wires to the same named items on MB. Refer to MB manual, u did keep it, right?

My PC started acting strange and who would have thought it was a shorted power switch.This product saved my PC. Installation was easy if you are familiar with building PCs; look at the labels carefully and your manual. The wires and connectors look fine. The button action is clear and positive, lights up the LED with power and HD activity, blinks on sleep. Nice product.
