Good quality, cuts well
I had a job requiring 1/0 cable, and I knew I would be doing a lot of cuts, this was well worth the price, I got nice clean cuts that made the job go smoothly.

Worth the money for a Quality Tool
Perfect for when you need the right tool. Wire does not wad up when cutting and the blades are sharp. Fits in the hand well and make short work of even large gauge wire with no fatigue.

Boy, have I been needing these...
I don't very often have to work with 3 conductor #4 wire, but when I do I generally have to use my lineman's pliers to cut it. Not ideal. For any cable bigger around than your finger, you need this cutter. The shearing action cuts large cable without compressing it the way diagonal cutters do, so you get a nice clean edge on each of the conductors, making for less work at the next stage. I don't know why it took me so long to buy these, but in my opinion there is no better electrical tool maker than Klein and having the right tools for the job is always recommended...I'm just a slow learner I guess.

As Good As All The Rest of My Klein Tools
I started buying Klein tools in the mid-60s for work in electronics. A little expensive but they last forever. I needed a good lineman's plier and cable cutter for some recent electrical work so I bought Kleins, Excellent tools that can be handed down. Just keep them clean and lightly oiled and do not try to use them outside their design parameters.I read a few less-than-flattering reviews and it looks like three problems are happening: 1) The plier/cutter is obviously used with dirt, rust, and contaminants. Probably someone who ordered them, used them for a project, left them dirty, and returned them to Amazon for a refund = zero cost tool use (I've had that happen to me and Amazon is quick to fix it.), 2) The user tried to use them outside their design limits. I even read where a "machinist" tried to cut hardened aircraft control cable and then complained when the cutter didn't work so well, and 3) The user got a counterfeit item, which is Amazon's bad.

Sharp and Effective
Loves me some new sharp wire cutters! These work great on #4 stranded wire.
