It looks surprisingly good for this price.It is extremely easy to mount on the wall, it is a job of 5-10 minutesThe camera is made of plastic but this cannot be noticed at a height of 4-5 meters where it is placed. The camera holder is made of metal and is well madeThese two fake cameras look like real and professional cameras, mostly I think they will serve the purpose of deterring thieves from breaking into the houseI'm not sure how long the batteries will last, it says 6 months, but if it's shorter, it's not a problem, the camera looks greatIf you need this type of fake camera look no further, this is a great choice, my recommendation

These cameras are fantastic! The aesthetic is spot on and looks like a real camera to all untrained eyes. There is an LED light that blinks every few seconds that adds an extra touch of realism. Two AA batteries is all it needs which will last a long time. The installation was a little more difficult because I had to drill into concrete siding, but once I drilled the holes and had the anchors (included) set, it was easy to mount. This purchase was exactly what we needed and I am very pleased.

These cameras certainly do the trick. They look like the real thing, and take only a few seconds to install.That said, I left the batteries out. The red light draws too much attention to the camera. I wanted something more subtle. I have plenty of cameras (real ones) like this at work, and they have no lights on them when active.Also, the swivel arm doesn't give you full mobility to place the camera the way you want. Sure it is 360 degree, but your camera might be mounted sideways or upside down. I had to mount mine this way to get them pointing the way I want. My first house guest asked me if he was on camera sideways.

I ordered two of these cameras to supplement my own Defender system of three real cameras. Can not beat the price. It is plastic but have to touch it to determine that, as it is metal painted plastic.Snaps together quickly, as some have mentioned this is not a $500 real camera, the pieces, especially the hood part are a little tricky to slide on. Have to slide from lens side and make sure the hood is exactly in the little grooves. One went on easily, one took a little juggling.Put this up to cover a spot in front of garage automatic door that now has pots and flowers on it. In past the neighborhood idiot has taken out aggressions on flowers and my real cameras guarded the backyard, my car, and let e monitor the alley. Rather than get a another real camera and mount outside and plug in thru garage, I took the cheapie approach. This will fool any flower killers that they are being watched and should not destroy my flowers or trespass. At 2:45 am this morning, I had the dog outside and my nasty neighbor slowed her car to look at all my new plantings in yard. She saw camera and quickly passed by on her way to work.Issue of red light has been mentioned in reviews. I base my opinion on my real cameras. When I walk into range, the red light shows which means it is recording. When I peek at this one, yup, the batteries show a steady red light just like a real camera. No one wants that so they would move out of range and not see the red light is steady. So I suggest buyers put the batteries in so it looks like it is recording.As noted, the "cord" is not quite long enough to stay in its slot when the camera is turned into a position that is off to side. One end is fastened securely, Other end is loosely slipped into a slot on camera post. When I mounted camera on my garage wall and extended it to cover around corner, the cord was over extended and did come loose. I simply tied a bit of wire on the loose end, pushed into slot and down to base. I fastened it around one of the screw holes and no more loose wire.I recommend everyone have a security camera system to monitor for vandals and trespassers. Good to have recording of such things. But fake camera like this can fill in the gaps without spending a lot of money.

Absolutely love these “phony” cameras. Good substitute until I have my actual security system set up. I have one at my front door and one at my patio door. At that price, I will be purchasing two more to put on the each sides of my house. The size is definitely impressive, (I want a potential intruder to SEE these “phony” cameras from a distance. The red LED blinking light IS definitely visible at a distance, day or night. My intention is to definitely attract the attention of anyone who comes close to my doors. I don’t want a dome light where an intruder has to be but a few feet from my doors to see that there are cameras. I went so far as placing the included stickers on both stores stating that there is video surveillance.I understand very well that an experienced intruder would probably recognize that they are not real but for the novice robber, I believe he or she would definitely be deterred and decide to go to a home where there are no cameras and no lights around the house. (i’m definitely not wishing this on anyone). The point is to convince a petty thief with the intent of breaking into my home to reconsider and go to another house rather than mine. There is even a cable that you tuck in the swivel arm of the adjustable camera that makes it look like the camera is actually hard wired. It is exactly what I was looking for “at this time”.I understand that if someone really wants to come in MY house, even an actual camera and alarm will not deter this intruder. These are for the deterrence of someone scoping a neighborhood looking for an easy target.I hope this helps. Very easy to install, the blinking red light is very visible day or night and is continuously up. It does not have a motion detector. That is not what I was looking for. I wanted something to be continuously be on.

Does the job well

Hard to fill in that one part for doesn't apply but I'm satisfied so far. It certainly would make me think about things. It's for my cottage. I also have a real one. So it's a deterrent and if mounted properly in a position someone can't reach. Unless pros which probably are good g I'm regardless. Inexperienced potential robbers/kids. They will be deterred by them. Position properly and for me so far. Work great. I always have the tea one hidden in a tree but battery operated so until I hear north for a visit. I'm not sure who's been on my property. I was impressed tho. I'd prefer if they came without printing on them.MTD

The security cameras are realistic enough that most people will be fooled. Cable that goes underneath to simulate a digital fee should be longer. Not sure how long batteries will last but has been couple of months since installation.

Looks really cheap
