Sheep Out to Eat Board Book (Sheep in a Jeep)

Cute stories to read to your little one! Love this series

Nancy Shaw's sheep series are really excellent! My daughter loves all of them. This book is very hilarious, just like Sheep in a Jeep and Sheep in a Shop. I can't get enough of these. A sometimes annoying part of a parent's job is to read a book over and over, day in and night out, because your child demands it. Thanks to this author and illustrator, reading is enjoyable each time! I love the clever rhymes, the expressive and detailed pictures, and the funny scenarios these sheep get into. Great for any toddler!

I love this series of books! My son and I found these books at the library and liked them so much that I ordered a copy of them for our own. In this book the sheep go to a restaurant and make a mess only to discover that the lawn is what they want for lunch.With rhythm and rhyme, the words are easy to read out loud. I never grew tired of reading this book to my children. As a matter of fact, I still read it to them now after owning the book for five years. It's always important to me to have books my children like to have read to them, but also ones that I enjoy reading to them. I have to spend so much time reading to them that I would prefer the books I read to be enjoyable for me as well. This fits that very well.

I love books that rhyme and I love cute illustrations. This book has both. There is a series of these and I have many (but not all). They are fun to read to children and don't put me to sleep... which is good because it IS a book about SHEEP! ;)

Such a funny story about the sheep eating out at a tea house. HAHA The Grandsons laughed and we read it again and again. The sheep are entertaining!

If you like Sheep in a Jeep by this same author, you’ll love this! Very cute funny story. I deducted a star because it’s much smaller than the board books I’ve ordered in the past and the illustrations aren’t as colorful as our Sheep in a Jeep book. So that is a bit disappointing.

Truthfully, I didn't check to see the size when I ordered this. I just wanted a bunch of the "Sheep" books for my boys and ordered the styles that were available for the B3G1F promotion--two were paperback, and two were board books. As board books go, this is among the smallest I've seen. It's 5" square. For this illustrator in particular, the size doesn't do it justice. I will have difficulty enjoying this with my 3 boys when I read to them (and when the eldest reads to his brothers). They won't be able to see the pictures very well. Had they been at least the size of the Boynton books, or the size of the paperbacks, the pictures would have been easier to share.As to the book content, I was already familiar with the subject and would give this 5 stars for that. Hope none of the shoppers mind my lukewarm review. I wish I had known the great illustrations were packed in so tightly so that I could have held out for the paperback. My niece loves these

I purchased this because my kids loved "Sheep in a Jeep". They are okay with this book but they much prefer "Sheep in a Jeep". The rhymes in "Sheep in a Jeep" just flow so naturally.

The book came broken, the spine was not well made.
