Perfect dark retelling
Well, wow. I just finished the first book and now running to get the second cause HOLY HELL, I love this. The book is very spicy, and it suits the story. I love how the main character is very direct in what she wants, I love "why choose", love the inspiring ending that left me screaming ("what just happened??!!")))Highly recommend!!)Also, I'm a mood reader and sometimes it takes eternity to read a book cause I get distracted by others: this one is rather short and it held my attention all the time, every chapter.Exactly the read I needed!!!

No longer your childhood fairytale
As children we grew up watching our favorite Disney fairytale where the hero was the good guy, the go to childhood crush and the villain was always the weird ugly animated character. What happens when you grow up and all of a sudden you no longer want the good guy, the straight and narrow hero? You want the morally grey, tattooed, and sinfully sexy ‘Non-hero” with equally hot villains and a FMC that is equally as morally grey as her men. Nikki St. Crowe gives you that in the first book of her “Vicious Lost Boys’ series, ‘The Never King”. No longer the children of our Disney fairytale, Winnie Darling has just turned 18 with only the future of insanity that awaits her. The insanity that has claimed every “Darling” before her. When Peter Pan arrives to take the Darling to Neverland, Winnie has a choice to go the easy way or the hard way but remember our tattooed and smoking hot MC is no longer the good guy and was there really a choice of the easy way? Winnie Darling is whisked to Neverland, where the lost boys also consist of 2 banished fae princes and a the dark shadow! Will Darling lose her sanity or finally find herself? The Neverland world is beautifully written by Nikki St. Crowe! The plot is decently written with spice that wraps this book in a delightfully sinful quick read that leaves you waiting for more. Her world and her MC will take you out of your present and take you into what we wish our dreams are as adults.I would give this book 4.5 stars only because I really wish there was more.

Not too bad…
Read TW first please. This is a dark and spicy re-telling of Peter Pan. Story is okay but I liked Hooked better (another re-telling). I think the FMC has some obvious issues or traumas but it won’t be addressed here because it fits into the story. They’re all kinda messed up so if that’s your current cup-of-tea story, then dive right in! 🤣Plot is interesting enough for me to finish the series.3⭐️4🌶️

Take Me Back to Neverland
So I’m not sure what I was expecting when I pick up a twist on Peter Pan but I was not expecting this! It’s so descriptive and truly paints a beautiful world in a new light and you feel in Neverland. Winnie is a strong female lead who is the descendant in the Darling line who gets dragged off to Neverland to save it or end it. The characters are unique and it’s really enjoyable to see the development between each other.Go read it, oh and of course the spice is spicy but it is a bit of a slower burn but the book is fast paced.

Great, Dark retelling of Peter Pan!
This was a lovely quick read with less than 200 pages, and very easily digestible which was what I needed after a short hiatus. The Never King did have some spice, had decent story telling and world building, but I did have to rely on already known details of Neverland and use imagination when it came to some characters because details were kind of sparse. The writing style was quick and to the point which was nice, but I absolutely would have enjoyed more detail, more storytelling.I’m hoping with the rest of the series there will be even more world building and in depth story telling.

Hot and to the Point
Check your trigger warnings! This book short, sweet, concise, and spicy. This romantasy reverse harem retelling gives an incredible new spin on the story of Peter Pan and his relationship with Wendy Darling and her family, as well as the lost boys. I loved how Nikki was able to write scenes and characters in a way that lacked the extra flowery descriptors but was still able to paint an entire picture as though the frill was still there. Highly recommend this one! On to devour the next book The Dark One

Unexpected mix of Magic and Spice
First hearing of the book- I was more than skeptical. How can a story of Tink, Hook and Pan be 🌶️ in any way??This warped version of the years after the Peter Pan movie caught me by surprise and awe throughout the entire read. I almost didn’t start it because of the typical story and me being skeptical of the tale it could possibly hold. The angst and heat between the characters was perfect! It was well designed story and captivating throughout!!Now for book 2!!!

Me apeguei bastante a escrita da Nikki. Por fim, os hots são maravilhosos! Eu amo um harém reverso e esse aqui 10/10!Amei MUITO!

Spicy. Dark. Retelling. Need I say more?
4.5⭐️After everybody and their mom talked about this book on booktok, I finally decided to read it, and it's totally worth the hype. This book was my first spicy dark retelling, and I definitely want more of that! It's like reading a story you know but from a different, hidden, spicier angle. And let's be honest, it is way better than the original like that 😉The only reason I gave it only 4 stars, is that the storyline felt a little rushed to me. It was my first novella, so maybe it's just that, but I didn't always understand some of the decisions the MCs were making. Like, I asked myself multiple times "why on earth is this the response to what just happened".Overall, the book is really good, the spice is on point, and I'm definitely diving into the second one right now!

Exquisitely written and deliciously dark
This has been sitting on my ‘shelf’ for a while now and I couldn’t be gladder than I picked it up!!This author writes a fast-paced, action-packed yet exquisitely wrought story that will draw you in from the start and keep you wanting more. The dialogue is so gritty yet whimsical it constantly brings you back to Neverland and the original story. The little details of fairies and brownies and the tree house and the lagoon among other things seem so trite but they once again pin you to Neverland so you don’t forget the magic of the original story.Loved it.

Please come and take me to Neverland…
I loved it…And I don’t care that the books only have 200 pages, I would pay for them again. Absolutely worth it.
