Humble Bee 430 Ventilated Beekeeping Suit with Round Veil

Overall this product feels really good, looks fairly durable, and doesn't have tacky logos plastered all over it. I'm 5'8" 160lbs and although the size chart recommends Medium, I got the Large. While the legs were a bit long and the arms were perfect, the torso was too tight to bend over in. The X-Large fits much better, even if a little loose on the arms and legs.

The suit looks great and feels very well made. It breathes nicely and we did not get any stings when working in a queenless hive, which beekeepers know is a test of bravery. I'm 5'3" and about 200 lbs. The size LG fits me like a glove. The only criticism I can come up with is the veil has a tendency of touching my face- making a sting to the face possible if I'm not careful. The gloves were very comfortable as well.

Have two other cheap jackets. This one is a heavy duty poplin type material, great feel to it. Veil is heavier material than the cheap versions available elsewhere. If you will be working with bees, you need to get this. I ordered up a size as heard that they run small. This one is a little large (normally wear xl, ordered 2xl, but not greatly so. Good closure around veil/neck with additional velcro closure flap over the zippers to make more secure. Comes in a nice canvas-type bag with zipper closure and carrying handles. Definitely worth the money. Very impressed with quality of this suit. Shipped quickly, came before expected.

I must have tried 5 or 6 suits and jacket....this is the one I kept. Why? All Humble Bee product are great quality, but this one had the extras you just don't think about.1. Body and back have triple netting so you stay cool when heavy lifting on hot summer days! (see photo).2. Veil is supported by the hat giving you clear visibility with nothing to block your view (see photo).3. Your eyes and head are shaded by the hats brim, so you don't need sunglasses.4. It all come neatly packaged in a convenient canvas bag (see photo)I am a 5' 5" woman, short legs with a long body (size 10-12) I bought the large so I could slip it over my clothes at the hive site, it is a little long in the legs but I don't mind a little extra fabric as everything else fits great. It also doesn't look like your typical male suit.

After just 3 uses, my suit started coming apart at the main zipper seam. The suit is a loose fit, so it was a workmanship issue. Humble Bee worked with me to quickly resolve the issue and I'm now a very happy customer. The whole family is now wearing Humble Bee suits. We will buy again when the kids outgrow theirs and when ours need replacing.I just wish it had more pockets. Like the velcro pockets at the chest on the nonventilating suits. I understand that the ventilation placement makes this impossible, but maybe some cargo pant style pockets at the legs is a possibility? Also the bag is well made but could be a half inch larger on all sides to make storage a little easier. As it is now, we have to fight a bit to get the suit back in the bag even when tightly folded, and there is just barely enough room for a pair of gloves.I have yet to wash it, but will report back should any issues arise after that. The seam break is a bit worrisome, however, and the company might consider double stitching the weak points at the zippers to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.Overall, great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again or recommend their products.

I'm 5'10" and 195lbs. The XXL gives me a nice roomy fit without excess bulk. I am also impressed with the overall quality of the materials and the heavy duty brass zippers and the closure. The big game changer is the ventilation. The mesh vent panels make the suit much more comfortable whether you are protecting yourself from the sun or the bees. I'm very happy with this suit.

The padded knees, the hat is comfortable and does cover my eyes like its too big, the zippers all seal up so no bee can find its way inside the suit. It has tabs at the arm holes to hold onto while you pull on gloves, and on the legs to put under your foot to slide on shoes or socks. it has a vented material so you won't get as hot as solid canvas. I received it over the weekend and am excited to use it.

Leg zippers are too short. Longer zippers make suiting up easier. Suit is not well vented and it gets real hot in there. Suit is not at all sting resistant. I've been stung through the suit at every pressure point. Knees, elbows, and even the seat. Now in just over a year the mesh of the veil is shredding. This morning while I was in the middle of doing a split I suddenly had several bees inside the veil with me. When I left the bee yard I couldn't take it off because several of the girls were following me, so I got several sting around my head and neck before I could safely remove the veil. The price is way too high for this poor quality. All in all this is the poorest quality and design I've ever owned. I will give them credit for customer service. Just wish the product was constructed so that customer service wouldn't be necessary.

Trägt sich angenehm - Kopfteil recht klein - in dieser Saison 2* durch den Anzug gestochen worden.... jeweils im Oberarm , 1* links, 1* rechts ... Reißverschlüsse top, die Stiche verunsichern mich als Anfänger ... dachte bei dem Preis ... aber eine „stichfrei“ Garantie gibts halt nirgends ...

Mein Mann ist Imker und wir haben bereits einige Anzüge ausprobiert und verschlissen. Diesen Anzug bekam mein Mann zum Eintritt in den Ruhestand und ist mehr als zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung ist toll, die Absicherung am Hals ist ausgeklügelt und die Ärmel und Hosenbeine verfügen über gute Schlaufen, mit denen der Anzug Bewegungsfreiheit garantiert aber bei allen Positionen den Imker schützt! Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich außergewöhnlich gut!

Worn it once since it arrived, on a pretty hot day and the ventilated bits seem to work ok. I like the all round vision from the hood and the fact that it is an actual hat the sits snugly on my head so the veil doesn't move forward when I am looking in. So far so good.
