MERCIER Bamboo Butter Dish with Stainless Steel Lid

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's a nice size and can hold two sticks of butter or an odd shaped block of butter. The metal dish that sits inside of the wood base is easy to remove and clean, and protects the base from getting cut. It's durable and has not disappointed. I've had it for over a year and it still looks new.

I LOVE this Butter Dish ! Just the Cat's meow for a cube of butter, some say about 2 cubes of butter will fit,, but I only need one at a time there seems to be LOTS of room for two cubes. I like these Butter Dishes ( bought 2 ) .there is the Stainless Steel tray that the butter sits on and a NON Slip Handle on the top cover to grip the perfectly High top cover made out of the Stainless Steel as well. The Bamboo Main tray is VERY Decorative and sure makes a nice accent on the dinner table and you don't have to worry about the top sliding ANYWHERE as the top sits recessed in the Beautiful Bamboo tray ! I have had numerous compliments of this most Functionable dish !.... I Give this dish a 5 star rating as I contacted the company for customer service about how the SS plate the butter sits on did not sit down inside the Bamboo tray properly. I used my wood chisel to shave some of the Bamboo to make a proper fit, and this dish is just Perfect now ! Also after contacting the Customer service about this Minor problem, The Company is sending me a NEW dish !! ... I am VERY VERY Pleased and happy to have purchased these two Bamboo/Stainless Steel Butter Dishes as I know they will last a long time and with the two dishes, I can have one hold the Butter and the other a Whole Cube of Cream Cheese ! VERY FAST Shipping ...Indeed !! Highly Recommended !!!!!

Well, actually, to my broken (glass) butter dishes. I have a tile kitchen floor, and my family has dropped and broken glass butter dishes more times than I can count. We gave up awhile ago, and just put the butter on small paper plates. Of course, that didn't keep the off odors/tastes in the fridge from sinking into the butter and essentially making it inedible. I can't stand even the slightest change in butter flavor. It just creeps me out.So, when I saw this beauty on Amazon's home page, I couldn't help but click and buy. It's actually very lovely (for a butter dish!) and it does it's job keeping yucky smells/tastes off of the butter. It fits in the butter shelf of my fridge with room left over, and it's non-breakable, at least in theory. I haven't dropped it yet, but I think the worst I'll end up with is a dented cover.Shipped quickly, and very nice quality for the price.

I really needed a decent butter dish to replace the years of using Rubbermaid storage which retains moisture (too much!) and how greasy the container gets. I like this butter dish much more. It's easy to clean, and keeps the butter nice and fresh. I like my butter to be room temperature for toast and muffins so I cut a piece to fit this dish, maybe a little less than a quarter of a pound at a time. The picture shown with butter on it may give the impression that two sticks of butter will fit but don't be fooled. They won't! At least not without the cover pressing it down. Still, this is a great dish and I really like that the bamboo tray has a stainless steel insert that not only protects the bamboo but is easily cleaned. All-in-all, a very nice butter dish.

It's hard to find a butter dish with a nice feeling, easy to use lid with a proper sized nub. This dish is a perfect choice. Not slippery, the lid sits down into the dish nicely. It is just the perfect size for the size of butter we use (kerrygold) and it is so easy to clean! Each part of the inside dish is made of wood or metal, and the butter sits on a small removable metal sheet that can be pulled out to clean between uses. Perfect!

To cute! Easy to clean and looks so nice on the table/counter to. So far no issues or defects.

From a functional standpoint, this product is okay. It fits two sticks of butter side by side, so it's large for a butter dish. That's a good thing if you use massive quantities of butter. Not a good thing if you're constrained on counter space.My complaint is that the company name is burned into the top of the wood base in very large, dark letters. It's the first thing your eyes are drawn to. Had I noticed this, I wouldn't have bought it. Who thought this was a good idea? If you like seeing advertisements on your dinner table, you'll love this feature. It ruins what is otherwise an aesthetically pleasing design.

Easy to clean and love the size. Needed a butter dish that did not break. My grandchildren accidently drop it or while getting it out of the cuboard. Looks nice on the table and blends with any decore.

Holds all butter brands that we usually buy! I was worried about buying this product after reading some reviews about not accommodating a standard pack of butter but we bought 5 different brands, including British, Belgium and Portuguese and for my surprise fitted all them. Good quality, easy to clean, and beautiful design. I recommend.

This butter dish is so stylish, elegant & minimal! I absolutely love it! The metal base which the butter sits on is removable so it's super easy to keep clean. The one small issue I've noticed is that you can see all fingerprints on the cover, however, if you rub it down with some wax paper it gets rid of that.
