Maybe better than Uberleden
High quality rope creates very fine hairs and catch a spark better than most. 8mm is bigger than most thus provides more surface area to catch said spark. 2 14" ropes make this an excellent choice which may rival brands that are 2x as expensive. Use the Al tube as a bellows, its bigger than most brands. Overall an excellent choice.

Light my Fire
First time trying a jute wick. Great little fire starting kit. Jute fits perfectly in the 8mm tube. It snuffs out easily. Catches a spark without a problem. The jute has a slight smell to it, like it was dipped in something to help it light. Amazon also sells jute rope by 100', picked that up and it fits the 8mm tube. Now I have a lifetime of fire starter.👍

Got the ropes but no starter sticks

I had a hard time attempting to light the rope after several attempts. I still have had zero success.
