Slept in it a few days after getting it and found it nice and comfortable
I am honestly surprised that I can pack this thing up into the tiny bag after taking it out. Use to rubbish cheap sleeping bags. LoL This is going to tremendously help cut down on weight and mass in my bag. Slept in it a few days after getting it and found it nice and comfortable. Looking forward to taking this into the field.

Good Value
This is a 2 Season sleeping bag. It is fairly lightweight and wicks moisture very well. If you are going to the mountains I would not recommend this bag. It is not rated for cold mountain nights. I would say this bag is meant more for casual Spring/Early fall camping.Get a 3 or 4 season bag with a liner for mountains.

Yes, it really gets that small, even after you unpack it the first time.

It's a bit bigger than it appears in the picture. I think that guy must have Wilt Chamberlain size hands.

Great lightweight bag to beat chill
I pulled mine out of storage to wash it tonight for a mild weather camping trip. I’ve had this bag for over 15y and dragged it with many to many (civilian) war zone deployments.I still find its warmth rating questionable but have been comfy down to around 50f and colder by adding some clothing and/or a woobie. It’s like an old friend at this point and looks as good as new.

Light, compact two season sleeping bag
This review is from: SnugPak Softie 3 Merlin Two season, Lightweight Sleeping Bag (Olive) (Misc.)I purchased the Merlin 3 in 2005 and use it for the cool seasons, 40 degrees to 80 degrees. The synthetic material make it too warm for summer and the lightweight make it too light for winter. However, this is the most compact, reasonably priced lightweight mummy bag I have found. It dries well, packs quickly and is highly durable. The stuff sack it came well is also a water proof compression bag.Several minor complaints: (1) the zipper will stick if you are not conscientious; (2) the bag is rated to 32 degrees Fahrenheit but is not comfortable without being supplemented below 40 degrees; and, (3) while not narrow, the bag is not designed for broad shouldered people. These aside, I highly recommend the Merlin 3 for temperate hikes and frequent enjoyment as I have on countless long and short forays into the great wild.
