BlundstoneHigh Top Chelsea Boots - Women

Snug, warm, comfortable, a very good winter boot, buy Blundstones.
To preface, I used to be a sneaker person for many years, then wores standard oxford shoes because work required such dress code. Then I started wearing chelsea boots as an alternative to oxfords and that worked for a while. I started wearing Doc Martens 2976. They have a nice look to them, but offer almost no arch support. So the next progression would be Blundstones since they touted anatomically correct design. I concur that Blundstone's are much more comfortable than the 2976s because there is a moderate amount of arch support. So the ball of my foot and the top of my foot don't ache as much anymore. I've got mostly a desk job, but I could walk around the streets all day with these. What makes these Warm & Dry better than the regular Blundstones (which I also own) is the Thinsulate insulation and the sherpa foot bed. These are now my go to winter boots. It takes about a couple weeks for the sherpa lining to flatten down. When I started wearing these they felt almost a 1/2 size too small, but now that I've broken them in, they are a slightly snugger fit than the usual Blundstones. But this I want because I use it as a winter boot, and want that extra snug fit. As with other Blundstones, the ankle elastics provide a good seal from the elements. That I cannot say about the 2976 which have a really big and loose opening so it sometimes feels like I'm flip flopping around. The Blundstones feels secure and my feet are "with the ground" so to speak. A few small details, these boot only come with the sherpa lined insoles. The regular Blundstones come with two insoles, a regular and one a 1/2 size smaller in case the boots run a tad small. I wish they included regular insoles with these boots so I can wear them when the weather warms up. I did switch out the insoles from my regular Blundstones and they basically have an identical fit, so the sherpa lining adds just that extra bit enough to make it a slightly tighter fit. Last of note is that these boots are made in Vietnam and not in Tasmania. Personally I don't mind where products are made as long as they are high quality. I have not owned an Australian made pair so I don't have a baseline to compare, but I think these boots, for the extra premium they command. As for long term value, let's see how these boots hold up over time. I tend to wear boots year round, and my poor Doc Marten 2976 boots got a nice hole in them after only one year of moderate wear. That is poor value for money in my opinion. I have a feeling these Blundstones will hold up, but I've only had them for about 3 months now. I'll post an update on how they're doing down the line. Finally price wise Amazon has a really good price for these boots especially around Black Friday season. I got these 20% off which drop them down to under 150, which is the best price you can find anywhere.

Beautiful and quality shoe
Like most reviews state, this shoe is snug in the ankle. It doesn’t just slip on which if you are hiking or anything of that nature it’s probably a good feature to have. It fits very well in the foot with a little wiggle room for your piggy’s. I’ve only had them a day and a half, but walked in them while I was trying to complete my steps for the day to break them in and my feet didn’t hurt afterwards. If I decide I don’t like the tight ankle I might try the original Chelsea boot style and see how it compares, but for now I don’t mind the snugness around the ankle so much because I plan on using these for multiple purposes and I think I want it a little snug for hiking. I’ve also seen where some people have bought a gadget that will stretch it out a bit so it’s not quite so tight, so that’s an option too.

Warm and grippy
I was torn between these and the all terrain Vibram soles. Started out with the Vibram soles but had to return them due to how terrible the grip was! I was slipping on any surface. Decided to give the original all terrains a try and absolutely love them. The grip isn't the best out of all my winter boots but I don't have to worry about slipping unless it's a sheet of ice. My main issue during the winter is my feet are always freezing. These babies have kept my toes nice and toasty in temps down to -25 F. They are also extremely comfortable and stylish. Highly recommend if you have cold toes like myself and want a stylish winter boot. You can also take out the sheepskin footbed and replace with a normal insole for the warmer months

Great Boots
My first pair of Blunstone I took my time purchasing because of reviews, some said they run big others say they run small it was all over the place I'm a size 6 and most shoes I purchase online are always a lot bigger than the size ordered. So, I was a bit hesitant anyways I just ordered the American size 6 which is the Australian size 3. And they fit perfect, that being said I had quite the time getting them on because of the ankle width it is tight and trying to get your foot in through there is difficult, once my foot was in the boot, they were comfortable and not a heavy boot at all. I stretched the ankle part a bit and with time they will become more flexible but that is something to know when buying this style boot. At first, I would recommend not wearing thick socks until they stretch out a bit. The toe section is roomy I am happy with this purchase.

So comfy!
Love these shoes! My 3rd pair. This one is their winter boot. You could take out the inserts for something else if you like. I like these for daily wear with jeans. I don’t like the look with shorts. Great for every day wear and for dress if you choose. I have a pair for daily use then when they get worn they are my motorcycle boots. Then downgrade to work boots as I get another pair. Grips are great. Ankle support is good but not as good as hiking boots but I haven’t rolled any ankle with these or lost my footings. Great brand! I wear a size 14 tie shoes, size 13 dress slip ons, and I wear size 12 on these. Read the description for sizing standards.

Manufacturing or sizing error
I ordered a pair of size AUS 6 Blundstones from this seller. Upon receiving the boots, the “size 6” symbol on the exterior sole appeared to be a different texture than the rest of the sole (this is not the case with the other pair I own). They seemed much larger than my other pair of size AUS 6 boots, so I checked out the interior inserts and interior sole. Both say size AUS 7. In the boots I currently own, the numbers are consistent in all three places. I am suspicious of a manufacturing error or some dishonesty on the retailer’s part somewhere down the line. I am also suspicious that these have been previously worn. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to exchange the product. I am only allowed to receive a refund. However, the price of the boot has gone up over $50 since I bought them, so I am unable to use this refund to replace them. I am extremely disappointed.

Blundstones Still Deliver Quality and Warmth
As always, Blundstone are a top boot. This is my second pair of thermal boots - I wore out the treads on my first pair - and my 7th pair of Blundies. I also recently bought a pair with the lug sole that are the 'best Blundstones ever' for spring and autumn. The insoles are about three times as thick as the regular insoles and feel as if I am walking on cushions. To recapitulate, both the thermal and the lug sole are so comfortable. I highly recommend one pair of each to cover the four seasons.

Blundstone
Easy to put on, which is good with my bad hands. Very comfortable, not the color I originally wanted but dont mind this color at all.
