Amazing product! Saved my puppy's eye!
I am very pleased with this product! My sweet Pekingese puppy got a really bad eye from getting allergies by going outdoors when I wasn't home at the time. His eyes became really itchy and it irritated him so much that he accidently scratched his own eye. I took him to the vet and the vet told me that she’s not an ophthalmologist but she’s going to perform surgery on him anyways and also told me that he’s possibly going to lose his eye and guarantees she’s not going to be able to help his vision and therefore he will be blind. Without even an eye exam she came back with a statement of how much the surgery will cost. Boy, I’m glad I didn’t say yes and took my baby home. I started cleaning his eyes every day, 2 times eye wash and 2 times of this ointment daily. It really helped his eyes and the cloudiness disappeared within a week. His eye is not 100% healed but the results by far is doing a very good job! He’s been super active and playful since the treatment and it also helps reduce the amount of discharge from his eyes as well. I will definitely continue to use this product and recommend it 100%

Great product!
This dissolves into wonderful lubricating oil the minute it hits my senior shihtzu/poodle's very dry eyes. He was diagnosed with severe dry eye and put on two Rx meds when he came into rescue, and has been on those meds two years. But I've found that Puralube and Terramycin (both bought on Amazon) work very, very well on his dry eyes. I no longer feel pressured to make the 50 minute drive to the vet when his Rx meds are running low.

He was very good while administrering it
I read alot of reviews on this product from several different sites. It seems a lot of people think it treats eye infection I wante people to know this is just a lubricant. I was unable to get any antibiotic lube for my cocker spaniel so I ordered this and added the needed eye antibiotic in powder form to it . his eyes were constantly a mess and new he was eventually going to go blind. I have been using this for 2 days now and his eyes are all cleared up including the redness. Now its wait and see how often I will have to use it. I am going to try just once a week and see how that goes. He was very good while administrering it. Didnt seem to hurt him at all. He was comfortable after wards. So far so good. I am so thankful to have found this.

Great for reducing eye irritation!
My cat sometimes gets a goopy eye. He gets an antivirus, but I wanted something extra to help with the irritation. This really did seem to help. Non medicated, so you can use it anytime. Whether it be allergies, a stubborn piece of lint, or even an eyelash that got in his eye, this really seemed to help. In fact, his relief seemed IMMEDIATE. I bought it in conjunction with a homeopathic drops to help with nose inflammation too. Between the three, his eye stopped weeping in two days.

This ointment has saved my dog's eye from the potential damage caused by entropian!
I've bought this for my Shar pei for as long as he's been in our family (around 2-3 yrs now). He has slight entropian in one eye that causes him some occasional discomfort. I use this ointment 1-2 times per day, depending on how much it seems to be bothering him. My vet told me she was shocked at how good his eye looked (no damage), because normally a dog his age with entropian (at the time he was 2) would have had a lot of damage to the cornea, many would've lost their vision without having the surgery done by that point. But she said his eye looked great. She did still recommend the surgery though, which I will do as soon as I start my job this summer (I'm about to graduate from nursing school... I've been severely broke for the past two yrs, otherwise I would've gotten his eye fixed a LONG time ago!) :( But my diligence in applying his drops, has saved his eye so far! I HIGHLY recommend this ointment!! It has saved my pup's eye!!!NOTE: entropian is a genetic malformation of the eyelid that causes it to roll inwards, so the eyelashes rest against (and can scratch) the cornea, leading to pain, corneal ulcers or corneal erosions, if left untreated. This ointment creates a lubricating barrier that helps protect his eye from this damage.

Saved Chronic Inflamed and Irritated Eye
My older male cat has had an eye problem for years - something internal the doctors haven't been able to figure out. The only thing that seems to control it is a steady dose of steroids, but that makes him pretty aggressive. It's typically just one eye that flares up - sometimes they look like they are bleeding, and sometimes it's the skin around the eye, down to the nose that is inflamed and red. He responded very well to this ointment, and after the initial treatment for a few days over the course of about two weeks several weeks ago, he has been fine. The inside of his eye is still cloudy, but the horrible red irritation is gone. It didn't burn, and he didn't mind it so much. Hope that it lasts and that they don't change the formula!!

I don't normally like it when people dock stars from reviews due to a problems that have nothing to do with the product (shipping, packaging, etc). However, in this case I am going to make an exception. My dog has one dry eye and one goopy eye and the ointment part of this product is great. For that, I would give it five stars. I have purchased a number of these ointment tubes and almost all of them have arrived with the cap almost embedded into the tube, like the machine making it squished the plastic cab INTO the pliable metal tube. The only way to open it is to kind of squeeze the tube and yank/twist on the cap to dislodge it from the metal. One tube was so embedded that I gave up and cut a corner from the folded end and used the product that way. This issue is so irritating that I have to remove a star from review. I have searched for another product as good but haven't come across one. If I do, I'll be switching!
