A decent budget digital camera
This is a decent budget digital camera. If you are a first timedigital camera buyer you may be surprised at what it can do. Itwill take pictures in black and white, and sepia, as well ascolour. It will take better shots indoors and with flash than any film camera at a remotely similar price. These features arestandard on digital cameras in this price range.Size. Not too big, not so small that it's fiddly.Build Quality. OK. Battery/Memory card cover moves a bit when it's closed.. Optical zoom lens assembly looks fragile. No cover for the holes for the cable to connect to your PC and for an adaptor.Ease of use. The buttons and menus are easy to navigate around.Only a few gripes. The macro setting is hidden away a bit and afew menus have items that don't show on screen immediatley, youhave to scroll down the menu to reveal them.Picture Quality. Good basic standard. There are similar big name cameras with better lenses. Colours are handled well. There are a useful number of picture size and quality settings. The only dissapointment is that there is no option to save pictures uncompressed. Maximum quality is 4X compression.Batteries: Takes 2AA size. I always count the use of standard size batteries as a plus.THE VERDICT. Worth buying? At £60 yes! At around the £90 markthere are similar 4megapixel cameras from companies like Olympus with better build quality and lenses.

Great camera
I brought this camera 4345 last week. Bargin of the year I think! As for the camera itself it is a good little number. With this Vivitar it is less thirsty on the batteries. Print quality is great. Very simple to use. The one touch option buttons on the LCD make it very simple and quick to use. when you want to display your pics just plug the lead into the side, plug the USB into your PC and it appears as an extendable memory item usually as drive "E" and Bobs your uncle!Brilliant camera very good value for money, even at the amazon price.
