Great rod and reel! Very smooth casting

A great combo for the price. I've been using Zebco reels for years and this model is one of their best. I had the older Omega and it was amazing until I lost it overboard....sad face....I also have the Zebco Bullet which is another fine reel.

I own a couple of Zebcos as it's my preferred type of reel (come at me, spinner-bros!), and this one feels leagues beyond the rest in my arsenal. The reel itself is made of steel and has a nice, quality feel to it. The reeling action itself is insanely smoothI almost bought the reel by itself to put on a Rhino Tough rod, but saw that the combo here is the only way to get the Zebco Graphite IM-7 rod, and since I'm a sucker for bundle exclusives (in most any form!), I had take the plunge. I'm glad I did now because the thing just feels indestructible, and the fact that it's the defacto rod to pair with the Omega Pro just feels right to me.If you're not of the mindset that spincast reels are for novices/children, then I absolutely recommend the Omega Pro. I had high expectations for it and even those got blown away.

I love this combo for kayak fishing. The only issue I have is that the crank is in so close that I have a tendency to hit my thumb or fingers on my pole hand with it. I have to be creative with pole hand placement. Everything else is great quality.
