The Hyperion is a wind and water repellent shell jacket designed to block wind and rain, keeping you warm and dry during light rains. What is DWR? DWR or Durable Water Repellent is a treatment applied to the Hyperion that prevents the fabric from becoming saturated with water. When you see water beading on the fabric, this is the DWR technology on the Hyperion at work. The technology makes water band together and roll off rather than seeping through the fabric. The Hyperion jacket is rated at 8,000 mm. What is seam sealing? Any stitch hole in a jacket can serve as an opening for rain water to seep into the jacket. Seam-sealing is the process of using a sealing tape to cover the stitch lines in the Hyperion jacket, to prevent moisture from flowing in through the stitch holes. Why Locking Head Zippers? Locking head zippers allow you to lock the puller in place once the zipper head is in the down position. On pockets, this is very effective because it prevents your personal items from spilling out of your pockets while you workout. Locking the zipper heads will also prevent the pullers from bouncing around and distracting you while you workout. Why Reflective? Visibility is extremely important during nighttime runs or early morning jogs when lighting is minimal. Countless accidents have occurred because drivers have been unable to see joggers in low light conditions. Play it safe and wear athletic apparel with reflective detailing.
