My favorite SH MonsterArts figure I have so far!
This thing is so cool! I have been wanting this version of Gigan since I found out he had the chainsaw arms like he has at the end of Godzilla: Final Wars. I already have a couple of figures of this Gigan with the normal hook hands, so I got this. The chainsaw arms kind of remind me of Evil Dead. The level of detail is amazing on this. He is sculpted and painted exceptionally well. He is metallic blue with silver on his cyborg parts and red on his back fins and eye. His accessories are his chainsaw hands, the replacement neck, and more a exaggerated horn and pieces beside his mouth to replace his head when Godzilla blew his first one off. This figure of Gigan is also very sharp and jagged. All of his spikes, horns, and tips of his wings are sharp. Even the rubber parts of all 4 pieces of the chainsaws move. With the horn, he is about 7 1/2 inches tall. As with all the SH MonsterArts figures, this one comes with many points of articulation, with the head, arms, legs, torso, back fins, and tail. The one issue I had was when I tried taking off his hook hand to put the chainsaw hand on, the ball joint broke, and I had to pry it out. Use caution with these SH MonsterArts figures, because they are fragile and will break. I have him sitting on a shelf, so I'm not worried about breaking him, I use care when I move him.I only have 2 SH MonsterArts Godzilla figures right now, this and the Rebirth Godzilla. This is my favorite. I plan on continuing to buy them. I recommend this to anyone who loves Godzilla and collects SH MonsterArts figures. It is a great addition to your collection.

A great looking, if fragile and painful to handle figure
Gigan is a distinct and really cool SHMC figure. But not perfect. There are a few key caveats to this figure. THIS FIGURE IS NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN! AGES 14+ PLEASE. Gigan is a mutant cyborg weaponized chicken of some sort. He is packed head to tail with sharp pointy painful hard plastic spikes. The figure itself is stunning and disturbing. A bright shiny metallic blue base color with lots of weathered metal. He looks like the lord of HR Gigers henhouse. The paint apps are great, although he stands out a bit from the other SHMA creatures with the brighter colors and textures. Articulation is superb, but problematic. he has great range of motion. But it must be done slow and carefully. All the hard plastic spikes make gripping the figure difficult, and mean you must move precisely and carefully to avoid entangling the spikes. Even then you will get stabbed or risk breaking something. This is a gorgeous looking figure that takes great care and planing to pose.Gigan comes with some impressive accessories. Sufficient parts to convert him into his repaired Super Cyborg form. Where his head is reattached and improved with robotics and he twin Scythe arms are replaced with double chainsaws on each. Gigan makes a great display and photography figure. Great color and texture. He stands apart from the rest of the line. A truly scary bad guy. He is really worth it at the #35 price point he has been offered for lately. Honestly at the $35 price he might be worth getting 2, one for initial Gigan and the other to keep as the modified Super Cyborg Gigan. It is worth it to avoid having to disassemble and reconnect some of the neck rings.

The figure is fantastic, incredible detail that doesn't suffer due to the ...
This is probably one of the most articulated figures of the series. It's neat that they have the interchangeable parts, they should have done that for mecha godzilla 3. To further discuss the interchangeable parts, I do not believe anyone has drawn attention to the chain saw hands, in that the chain can spin, all four of them. The mandibles do have a tendency to fall off but on my figure you just have to make sure you put them on tight. The only die-cast items are the toes. I now understand what people are talking about the spikes on the tail not being straight. I was under the impression that it was a simple adjusting issue, but if the tail is straight, most of the spikes are vertical (90 degrees) except for really two (45 degrees) that tilt down. I think that the purpose is that when the figure is standing, the two tilted spikes would follow the pattern of the typical "S" curve of a tail would be positioned. The figure is fantastic, incredible detail that doesn't suffer due to the articulation. The silver bolts are painted with extreme precision and the red eye is mesmerizing.

you know who else like Space Wing Kingdom (A.K.A Gigan 2004)... MY MOM
Wow, Gigan is awesome from Godzilla Final Wars this space chicken's details are great and it has a little dai cast. The chicken stands roughly 7.5 inch, articulation arms, neck, head, legs, wings, and tail are amazing. He has lots of Accessories so you can have him with hook blade or have I him in his groovy Evil Dead Chicken with two Chainsaws. Overall Gigan is one of the cool looking s.h monsterart I ever seenWWWWOOOOOO WWWWOOOO BEAT IT LADY I'M GOING TO WING KINGDOMSEE YOU LATER GRANDMAS

Pokey Goodness
Fantastic figure! I waited until the price was low enough that I felt comfortable paying for it, but man, I was impressed when I got Gigan out of his box and started posing him. Right off the bat: this figure is sharp! Pointy spikes, blades, tusks, spines, the works. You'll jab your finger at least five times just adjusting the articulation here and there. The articulation all moves smoothly, I had a few stuck joints, and that did require either popping the joint apart completely or using a little hot/boiling water to soften things up. No biggy truthfully. All the pieces stay in place, I'd heard that some people had Gigans that fell apart rather easily, but on mine all the ball joints hold tight. Even switching out the "upgrade" pieces I found to be relatively easy and they hold tight as well.I love the tail on Gigan too, ever since Kiryu it seems they've managed to articulate the tails in a way that they not only have a huge range of motion, but will hold that pose far better than you'd think. Big improvement on the Godzillas from earlier in the line. Overall a nice, pointy figure. If you love the Final Wars design, it'll give you plenty of tiny details to appreciate.
