La unidad requiere descargar la aplicación, la configuración de la aplicación no es tan intuitiva cono debería, tal vez la traducción al español no sea la adecuada. Hacer un horario de riego basado en los días de la semana y la hora de Inicio y finalización del riego es simple y funciona bien; sin embargo hacer un plan de riego en base al clima no funciona, al menos no en México, no se de dónde toma el pronóstico del clima pero es súper herrado con todo y que la ubicación geoográfica de la unidad es la correcta. La unidad solo cumple la función básica para la que la compré, al menso espero que dure muchos años, ya veremos.

I discovered these wifi timers last July when looking for a replacement for an analog hose timer. I have drip irrigation and these timers automate all my drip watering. I have two zones in back and one in front, so using three of these timers with one hub at my main home. They work so well, I have installed two at my daughter's home and one more at my vacation property - so 6 single valve timers at three different locations with three hubs (miles from each other on separate home networks). (Note: I tried the dual valve timer that's now available, but it does not work with my older hubs). Nice that you can "share" a timer (I share my daughter's, so she can control her drip irrigation timers from her app, or I can control them from my app.)No problem installing the hubs in two locations - a bit of a challenge at a third location due to Google mesh home network which doesn't have separate SSID for 2.4 ghz wifi. I had to plug the hub into an extension cord and walk out the back yard until the wifi dropped from 5.0 ghz to 2.4 ghz on my phone. Once that happened, the hub installed with no issue and reconnects automatically after unplugging or power failure.If you create multiple "homes," be sure you are displaying the proper home before adding a new timer - otherwise it will add it to whatever "home" you are currently displaying. If that's wrong, you'll need to delete the timer, change homes, and reconnect the timer to hub.No problem connecting timers to respective hubs - and once connected, Alexa in all locations added it as well. Note: You must tell Alexa to "open" and "close" NAME OF TIMER - "start" and "stop" are not recognized commands for these timers.I have the three locations as separate "homes" in the app. The app does a pretty good job of providing various settings for what days, how often, and duration of watering. The 24, 48, 72 hour rain delay is also handy.The app takes a little while to get used to how it functions - but once you've learned your way around it does a good job. Also sends notifications, if you turn on that feature.To date, no issues with hubs, timers, or app. (knock on wood)Improvements: I'd prefer better descriptions on the notifications. When your watering starts, you get "Irrigation start. Your NAME OF TIMER is working." and when it finishes you get "Irrigation finished. The irrigation of NAME OF TIMER has been implemented." Both are a little confusing. (See photo 4) It would be nice if they updated these to:Irrigation StartYour NAME OF TIMER has started watering.Irrigation FinishedYour NAME OF TIMER has finished watering.Update: 4/25/24INCREDIBLE customer service! After years of using these, I had one go "stupid." It would not stay connected to the hub. A few email exchanges with the RainPoint folks and they shipped me a replacement timer. AND it was the older model that works with my older Hub. I received it in only a few days after they said they shipped it. If only more companies would stand behind their products like RainPoint does for these timers.Oh, and I'm using 7 of them now in three locations (home 3, daughter's home 3, vacation home 1).Thanks, guys!
