Awesome and entertaining bug movie done right!
Wow!!!! It's about darn time that an awesome and entertaining bug movie has been released! I was very surprised how good and GREAT the wasps look in this STUNG movie because while the movie does have CGI moments but it also has LOTS of moments where they show an actual real wasp that was made by the special creature effects team. The wasps themselves are HUGE and the camera really focuses on how good the wasps look because most bug movies, the camera is shaking like crazy with overused CGI effects that just makes it difficult to watch. However, Stung delivers by being an entertaining bug movie that actually relied on the creature effects team because you can clearly see that the wasps are not CGI during several moments throughout the film. Also, there is a good amount of comedy in it but it's not overboard like other bad horror/creature/bug movies. I really hope more directors take note of this movie because STUNG actually had wasps that were amazingly detailed by the creature effect team. So if you are looking for a bug/creature movie that doesn't go overboard with CGI, then I highly recommend that you see this movie asap. I was more than happy to pay $6.99 to rent this movie and I would of paid $9.99 if that was the case because the team behind this excellent Stung movie deserves every cent/credit for this movie. I am looking forward into purchasing STUNG on DVD/Blu Ray because the crew behind STUNG actually put a lot of love into this movie. Also, if you enjoyed the "Attack of the block" film, then you will easily be entertained by this movie because it's a fun film to watch alone or with a group of friends!

You won’t want to go to this garden party.
This is supposed to be a throw back from the big bug movies from the 50’s and 60’s perhaps even the 80’s. It’s that and more. It takes place at a garden party thrown by a slightly eccentric grand dame and her dweeb of a son at their run down old mansion. The toxic waste infused fertilizer she uses on her plants is ingested by wasps. The wasps mutate into giant monsters that attack the guests. Two caterers who are working the party end up in the middle of this insectal holocaust. That is basically the plot. Everything else is bug on people (and one dog) carnage. The actors are sharp. The dialogue snappy. The monster bugs are great and as creepy as you would expect. The electricity between Matt O’Leary and Jessica Cook, the two caterers, is electric. Once the stinging starts the action is wild and rampant. It’s a great movie that will fulfill all your horror movie desires. Any more and I might inadvertently add spoilers. See it for yourself. If you like big bug movies you’ll want it in your collection. Just be aware that although it may appear to be a throw back to good old fashioned horror movies it was done in 2015 so there’s a plethora of swear words and gore.

actually pretty good
i'm a big fan of the "sci-fi original" movies and i thought this would be just another shlock-fest of bad acting, bad writing, bad special effects and bad directing. BUT, while it is a cheesy movie, it's actually pretty good. a few of the characters are WAY out there and over-the-top, but the acting wasn't terrible, the premise was decent and the special effects were MUCH better than i expected. it has a few good laughs and a couple "gross out" scenes, but overall it was a good watch.

B-movie madness
A comedy horror movie that pays tribute to classic b-movies like them!, the killer shrews, and night of the living dead. Two catering workers fight to stay alive after a party is crashed by giant mutant wasps creatures. Gore, humor, and plenty of scary moments are in this creature feature.

“I think something bit him!”
Hate wasps, loved this movie. It’s a throwback to the great sci-fi flicks of the 50s like THEM, Tarantula, and The Deadly Mantis. The plot has a couple of squabbling caters on their way to a remote villa in the country (filmed outside of Berlin). An elderly lady is throwing the same party she has every year at this same time. Shortly upon the arrival of the caters, and the setting up of the outside party, glimpses of the wasps are seen. At first they are small and inconsequential. Then they bite a couple of the guests. And presto, mayhem quickly ensues. It seems the local ecosystem has been tampered with (something to do with tainted fertilizers and a growth hormone). The pesky insects get a wee bit larger and are in need of a nest and someone to serve as hosts for their offspring. This film stars the always reliable Lance Henriksen, Matt O’Leary, Jessica Cook, and Clifton Collins Jr. But the real stars are the wasps (CGI and mechanical creations). I hope there’s a sequel. The language is a tad repetitive and generous with overused expletives. Whether or not this was necessary is moot.Fabulous fun!

Great creature feature.
Lots of heart in this one. I mean for a plot as dumb as mutated wasps this was a fun movie and you can tell a lot of love went into the making of this. Lots of fun scenes and the practical effects were really well done. Pretty run of the mill plot when it comes to a movie like this, but it was a fun ride all the way. Give it a go if you like movies in the vein of -insert random animal or object becomes a killer something- genre of movie.

Giant Wasps!
This is a well-done film featuring really large wasps -- six footers!Whether this is actually possible is irrelevant. That the film works and delivers an exciting time is what matters! If you like giant insect films, this is one you should see.

Pretty bad horror
Pretty bad horror, the initial angle of extra dangerous hornets/wasps seemed reasonable but once they got to adult human proportions it started getting really silly. Some of the acting wasn't exactly stellar either.

Not a brilliant film, acting was on the poor side
Not a brilliant film, acting was on the poor side, but okay. I wouldn't watch a second one if it was made though.
