Must Read
“If a ruler who wants to act honorably is surrounded by unscrupulous men, his downfall is inevitable”. The underlying theme of the book revolves around the pre-independence era and takes the readers back to the pre-independence time in 1946 and the royal navy mutiny that was sparked owing to the horrid treatment at the hands of the British and it further transpired into many other forms leaving many unmarked graves.Delving further, the book has been divided into 16 chapters with the first chapter easily setting the book’s tone as it sets the stage for the introduction and the prime inspiration of the author behind the literary work at hand. The first chapter of the book further sets the stage for introducing the readers to the importance of having dominion at sea by referencing the Maratha Navy and further bringing forth the chronological details of how the prowess was sought to be disturbed by the British. The next chapter of the book refers to World War 1 and World War 2 and how the Indian Navy troops took over the enemies, especially during 1939-1941 and further depicts the relevant factors which sowed the seeds of the mutiny. As the chapters progress further, each chapter follows a well-synchronized structure of the core event in question. The writing style of the book has been kept simple and extremely detailed and the same can be surmised easily from the structure of the contents where the author has through his research work ensured that a proper assessment is made of each the facet of the mutiny and briefly delineating all that followed, later on, to ensure that the attention span of the readers stays intact. The language used here is very simple and easy to comprehend and is deprived of any form of verbose expression and thus becomes a must-read for anyone willing to go for a good and insightful read in the light of the Indian War of Independence

well researched book
After reading the book it is clear to me that Mr Pramod has done extensive research on the subject. I enjoyed reading the book. It is sad to see how the political parties cheated these young freedom fighters. At least after independence they should have been taken back into Navy.
