Posh gin with a lovely botanical flavour
Being a bit of a gin fan, I have had the Hendricks brand a few times before. It's usually one I'd buy for an occasion or if we had guests coming round that I wanted to make sure we had something a little more special in.It is, as far as gin goes, a little bit more expensive than other leading brands, but to me, this gin is of great quality.I was excited to try this Neptuna Gin that was a Limited release, so once the kids were in bed at the end of a busy day, an exhausted husband and I sat down to a nice glass of Gin and tonic. I have to say, the first thing I thought was how smooth it was. There was definitely a hint of botanicals that I can't put my finger on what flavour exactly came through, apart from it was definitely aromatic. This gin is 43.4% abv, so be careful on the old measures or you'll find yourself rolling to bed lolThe actual bottle is really pretty and has a cork top, which I like. It's such a heavy bottle too, which I'm sure people could think of a nice way to utilise after use as seems a shame to throw it away.I really enjoyed this gin and would definitely buy it again, but mainly due to the cost of this, would only probably be for an occasion. Really nice though and what I would label as a posh gin. Highly recommended.

Coastal notes and almost grassy scent
This gin is a really nice small batch offering from Hendrick's in an attractive bottle. At 43.4% the alcohol strength is a little stronger than your standard gins which is good if you like it strong. As per the advertising you can actually sense the coastal notes and almost grassy scent, but in a good way! This was really refreshing and tasty when tried along with an Indian tonic water. Will be a great summer drink!Very tasty and definitely worth trying if these flavours and botanicals appeal to you.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope it helps you.

Try This Top Tasting Tipple
Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin is definitely an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable gin.On opening the bottle the aroma is already rich and suggestive. I decided to taste a little neat at first in order to best sample the flavour unimpeded. The first impression was of a rich intense flavour that somehow still manages the trick of being mellow and luxurious, the polar opposite of harsh or sharp.Further "research" over time with mixers confirmed that impression, and although you could pair it with many choices, personally I thought it's best to keep things simple and let the the Neptunia flavour remain the star of the show. (I even went so far as to prefer a just little mineral water to tonic, but that's probably just me.) It remained soft and warming and easy on the stomach. The presentation matches up to the end product too. The very dark (almost black?) bottle with its' cork stopper and labelling adds to the experience. Cheers to Master Distiller Ms. Lesley Gracie.

Tastes beautiful, looks beautiful
I was so impressed with the taste of this gin, it's not like the sweet sickly ones you usually get. Much more palatable and easier to drink!I have endo, so I don't usually drink (it flares my stomach and makes me quite ill), but I couldn't resist trying this. The smell is wonderful, I hate overly sweet stuff, it is more salty but in a nice way. It reminds me of sparkling water, with a hint of palmer violets.Love the bottle too, really different and so giftable.Price, £30, is standard I would say for a good bottle of gin.Over all I'm really happy, it tastes wonderful and goes great with some lemonade as a mixer. Very refreshing, goes down easy and you don't get that sugary sick feeling like with pink gin. I would definitely recommend it.

Refreshing and zesty
When this arrived I was very impressed with the bottle, it's beautiful and has a very unusual style, like a bottle you'd see in an old curiosity shop! The glass is dark which is more unusual for gin and is a win for presentation all around. There's a recipe on the back for the Neptunia cocktail which consists of soda, lime syrup and cucumber which we mixed up and does suit the gin well so is worth trying.Scent wise you can smell the botanics, taste wise it is zesty, fresh, you can taste a complex variety of flavours, t's nice on its own or mixed but being slightly more special we are treating this as more of a sipping gin to make it last. This is currently on offer for £25 so is definitely worth a try, it's unusual and very refreshing. Recommended.

Excellent
A really great gin. It tastes like a very good gin and then there is a bit of a twist. It's like a safe gin adventure. There are some botanicals from the sea side and a few herbs that grow by the sea. Because of this I'd recommend you don't use a flavoured tonic water or add a slice of lemon. It's a really good subtle flavour.Particularly if you start your tasting with it neat on a piece of ice. Then you really notice it seems very alive somehow and fragrant. I was almost tempted to wear it as a fragrance ............I'm afraid that what with the good weather and friends coming round this was a bottle that did not last long.Oh, and the bottle works beautifully for oil storage afterwards as it is dark

Not cheap but interesting flavour.
I'm not a gin drinker, but my wife has a tipple every now and then. She's been put off by some flavours which meant she hasn't had any for a while, but fortunately for her, this was a hit. It's a lovely thick bottle which is dark glass. It means I can't see the level dropping though. It certainly smells citrus, and my wife attests that it has a very bright refreshing flavour. Using the Neptunia Fizz recipe on the back gave a really nice drink that rekindled her interest in gin, or at least this one.Not cheap, I think you're paying for a bit of hype, but certainly one worth trying.
