Bought for Iscsi ability.
Installed them in 4 of my servers so I can utilize iscsi functions without going fiber.I run Linux and no drivers was needed.Was a tad disappointed that getting updates to boards flash was a pain. But not a deal breaker.Speed was great, depending on load, chip can get warm, good ventilation cures that, so don't leaves cables laying on card, it needs are flow. Worth the price? Heck yes.

Intel chipset works directly with linux
Picked this up for one of my rackmount servers; mailed it to the datacenter and had it installed. Worked out of the box on my Ubuntu 20.04 server without additional drivers. I was able to get the 1.25G Full speed from the card. I think it is possible to get 2.5G if I combine both ports but I use them for different things.overall works as intended, if I have issues with it then I will report back.Second one is up and working in another server now.
