Easier Way to Monitor Little One’s Fever No need to disrupt a sleeping baby. With Fever Scout you can easily monitor little ones temperature through your phone without waking them up every few hours to stick something in their ears or under their tongues. Unlike other thermometers that can only give single readings Fever Scout collects temperature data throughout the night. The special benefit of Fever Scout is it doesn’t look like a medical device seen at the doctor's office. The patch is like a friendly sticker attached under the armpit so the little one won’t feel scared when you’re taking their temperature. Know When They Need You Most Be alerted immediately when their fever spikes so you can take the necessary actions. On your child’s Fever Scout profile you can set up the temperature threshold, when temperature is past set threshold you will be notified through your phone. Even when it is in sleep mode the app will still send you a sound alert and notification. A Convenient Way to Keep Track The Fever Scout App lets you create notes to log in fever causes, symptoms, medication, and treatments. Which is common information asked by doctors. When you create the note Fever Scout App stamps the time and child's temperature so you can easily track how well your child is doing. This is very useful to monitoring the effectiveness of treatment. Monitor Their Temperature Anywhere The charging dock acts as a BLE extender so by leaving it on their bedside table to extend BLE range up to 131ft enough to monitor anywhere around the home. But if you can’t stay at home but have a caretaker you can turn on the remote monitoring feature of your child's profile which lets you monitor their temperature anywhere. Share with Partner/ Pediatrician Be able to update your partner on how baby is doing or share with your pediatrician so that they can better help you take care of the little one. Providing Peace of Mind When it Matters Most With Fever Scout you can monitor the progression of a fever over time and track associated symptoms to share with a doctor. Since it works from a distance, you can always monitor a fever without having to interrupt a sleeping baby or child. You can even set alerts on your smartphone if a specific high temperature is reached. The alerts work even if your phone is asleep. Because fever is usually the first sign of infection, Fever Scout’s use is applicable to more than just babies and children. Post-operative patients, cancer patients, and seniors receiving in-home care, can benefit from Fever Scout About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Parents can now sleep with peace of mind. What makes your product special? The patch like device is designed to look friendly to children, from the color, the shape to the unique form factor. Annoying useless waste of time, don't bother
I consider myself a pretty well seasoned wearable bluetooth thermometer user. Temptraq was my first introduction to the wearable bluetooth thermometer technology, which I have to say worked so very well. However, the price of Temptraq considering that it only last 24hrs is absolutely ludicrous. My hunt at that point began (about 3 years ago) to find something reusable that could work just as well as Temptraq. I am beginning to think I was really lucky with my first purchase because the first bluetooth wearable (reusable!) body thermometer I purchased worked wonderfully for years....until it didn't. It was the MatrixSight 'china cheapie' as I like to call it. It honestly was perfect, but sadly it seems it's no longer produced and I can't find a replacement, sigh. Hence, my hunt for a new wearable bluetooth thermometer. I'm still looking at of the time I'm writing this review. On to the Fever Scout; let me start with the fact that the Fever Scout has the enticing rechargeable base. This seemed it would be a huge plus for me because I had to often replace the '2016 button battery' in my MatrixSight thermometer if it wasn't worn for months at a time. A rechargeable base seemed like a great plus, and it did perform as expected - no complaints on the Fever Scout there. If only it came down to the recharging base, eh?The first problem with the Fever Scout is it takes a while, a long while, to "warm up" and during the warm up period no temp data is accessible. Not really big deal, I guess you don't need to see temps while it's warming, but it's roughly 10 minutes of 'warming up' after connecting it. MIND YOU it makes zero difference if the Fever Scout is already adhered to the skin, even for hours prior. I would have to re-pair (don't know why) and even though I was continuously wearing it for hours the warming up still had to happen with each re-pairing. Odd.That being said brings me to my next issue, the darn thing disconnects for no apparent reason over and over and over leaving you to have to re-pair it then wait for the warm up to happen *again*. The pairing (if you're lucky) takes about 3-5 mins, then the warm up is about another 10. Tell me, who in their right mind wants to wait 10-15 mins to get a temp from their child at 3am? All for the convenience of not disturbing them? No thanks, I'll pass on being up for a half-hour while I wait for this thing to work itself out. I can very easily just take my temporal scanner to my child's head with very little disturbance, if any, and get my accurate reading. All while being back in bed within 2 minutes....and probably in a dreaming state by the time Fever Scout is ready to read a temp. Not only does it disconnect all the time and take a million years to connect and warm up, but the product details claim that keeps a record of temperatures so you can view the temp history/trends. This is actually laughable. It will keep track of temps while you are physically looking at the app, but I found in most cases if I put my phone down and my screen went off, or I opened another app while Fever Scout was running in the background it would stop tracking the temps, nevermind the constant unexplained disconnecting which leaves lack of data. This makes any type of temp/data/trend data advertised by the company impossible. I've included a screenshot so you can see what I mean with the recording and trends - each gap shown is where zero info was recorded despite the patch being worn consistently. Now, I myself, was wearing the Fever Scout at all times in the pic shown and throughout what my review is based on, an entire night long, actually. I figured why not give it a real test since that's how I intended to use it if one of my children fell ill. It's very clear that in the time worn it recorded an extremely limited amount of temperature data all night long. So much for that advertised "continuous remote temp monitoring and trend view". Even IF there is some convoluted button in the app that needs to be clicked to show continuous readings that I didn't easily find, the constant disconnecting would still would render the history and trend useless. The entire night I wore it I had to re-pair it at least 6 times...and yes, I was awoken that many times by our new little 8 week old kitten. This patch seems it can and will record data until it disconnects for no apparent reason. To be clear, I mean no apparent reason because my phone was beside me all night, so I can't fathom another reason aside from it being taken out of range or something, which it never was. It was never further than 1-2 feet from my phone the entire night.Another couple of issue with it is the design. The patch is made of 2 thin flexible plastic material pieces that appear to be heat sealed together at the edges to contain the sensors inside. The problem is that these edges are somewhat sharp, not excessive like one could be cut by it, but enough to irritate surrounding skin. I found that it was very itchy to wear, this wasn't due to the adhesive patch because the itching was just below and above the patch, but not at all underneath. The other thing I feel is an issue is the very thin plastic doesn't provide enough of an insulating effect for the sensors. What I mean is even the slightest movement of the arm changes the temperature drastically. Not just a few decimals, but a 98.3 to 97.6 type of change. I find that with the Matrixsight or the other round hard plastic wearables I have that arm movements will change the temperature, but only by decimals, certainly not by a couple of degrees. This makes me think that the Fever Scout's thin plastic design is too thin, therefore it's not reliable because of large fluctuations from slight arm movements.Overall, it's basically useless. I just packed mine up and sent it back today. It's unreliable, disconnects for no reason even while in range of the phone, slight arm movements make the temp fluctuate by a few degrees, it doesn't track temp history or show trends as advertised and is itchy along the edges of the patch due to the design.Pros:-Has a charging base-Reusable-AffordableCons:-Uncomfortable and itchy by the top and bottom of the patch because of the molded together thin plastic-Unreliable-Doesn't stay connected (even while right next to the phone)-Doesn't keep a history of temps or the temp trends as claimed-The slightest movement of the arm causes the temp to drop by multiple degrees (if you're lucky enough to even have it stay connected long enough for this to happen)-"Warming up" period takes a really long time regardless if the patch has already been attached to your skin for hours (you have to go through warm up over and over because you have to re-pair a million times since it disconnects for no reason at all)Save yourself the time and money, don't buy this.

Worth it!!
We love love LOVE our fever scout! My oldest has febrile seizures and temps spike from 100.2 to 105.2 in literally 5 minutes. Fever scout allows me the ability to monitor him in real time and act when the fever spikes. I put it on him as soon as he starts acting sick and can sleep well knowing I will be alerted if his fever spikes. I love that you can set separate profiles for each kid.I usually end up using medical tape to adhere the thermometer because my 2 year old easily pulls it offSome things I wish it had:An alert to tell you it disconnected or was unattachedThe ability to track medications right in the app so you can monitor that as well Over all - worth every penny

Supposed to bring peace of mind, but is severely lacking
Great concept, but not well executed. Read reviews on the app before buying! Product reads significantly lower than his body temperature.....off by about 4.6 degrees (even after readjusting several times). The app doesn't allow you to set an alarm for below 98.6 degrees. So if the thermometer reads 4.6 degreeslower than it should, and you can't set an alarm lower than 98.6 degrees, it won't alert me until my son's temperature is 103.2! I want to know his fever is rising way before it gets to 103.2!Fever Scout also disconnects constantly. The only way to reconnect is to get your phone close to the patch.....that is safely tucked away in your child's armpit while they sleep in their crib.Great idea, and with some tweaks it can be perfect. Until then, useless.

Not well thought out for adults.
This did not work at all. The stickers are fabric based and came off immediately. The patch had to go under the arm, and when you’re feverish, you sweat, which immediately removes the shoddy adhesive on the sticker. The tiny sensor takes forever to read the temperatures, and is at best one degree off for adults per their own admission. Would not recommend, especially since it requires two AAA batteries to charge, and needs to keep the sizable receiver within 4 feet of the monitor to read a temperature in real time. Good idea, poor delivery.
