Great stereo! I really recommend!
So, I’ve installed this stereo today.Wow.I had been looking for a stereo for ages, and I was stuck between like 10 options on the lower end of the pricing spectrum (head units can be expensiveeeee!), and this was on this shortlist. As a 17 year old, and a bit strap for cash, I needed something cheap and decent (pretty hard to find nowadays).I kept narrowing it down over and over, and this one stuck through, and won.I wanted a head unit with Bluetooth, and one that was relatively minimalistic to suit the interior of my car.I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta Style, with a double din slot. I got the fascia, and the wiring harness, and fitted this head unit (and a subwoofer and some other bits and bobs).I’m really impressed. I’m not even kidding, this blew me and my dad away. I’m not going to talk about sound quality as I’ve only got the stock speakers and haven’t installed my new ones yet, but the EQ presets are useful, and if you’d rather not use a preset you can adjust the Fade, Balance, Bass, and Treble. I went for “rock” (despite it not being my genre of choice) as it has a good balance between the Bass and Treble, then faded it ever so slightly towards the drivers side speakers. The ease of use is really handy, and it instantly connects (via Bluetooth!!) to my phone the moment I switch on the ignition, which I’m really happy with. The selection of colours is great, I chose yellow as it suits the rest of the interior lights perfectly, and the buttons are really nice and tactile and clicky. Everything’s easy to use, and within less than 5 minutes of playing around with it I now have it set perfectly for myself. It took me probably 3 minutes to figure out how to set the clock, which I find useful as it tells me exactly how late I am.I love this thing, I really recommend it.Instructions for ease of use:CHANGING THE COLOUR:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the Volume knob repeatedly until either “Auto” or the name of a colour appears on screen.3) Once “Auto”, or the name of a colour, appears on the screen, rotate the knob until your preferred colour is displayed.4) Once you have chosen the colour you want, press the volume knob again to select it.CHANGING THE TIME:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the volume knob repeatedly until “Timeset” is displayed on the screen.3) Press and hold the volume knob for a few seconds until the hours on the clock begin to flash.4) Rotate the volume knob until the correct hour is displayed.5) Press the volume knob again to select the minutes, and rotate the knob until the minutes is set correctly.6) Press the volume knob again to save the time.CHANGING THE INPUT:1) Switch on the ignition, press the “on” button on the head unit.2) Press the “Hang Up” button (above the “on” button) on the head unit until either “BT”, “AUX”, “FM”, or “AM” is displayed.I have been entirely honest in my review, and I hope the instructions I have left were also helpful. I really like this, and I can’t wait to use it properly whilst driving.Edit: I absolutely love this stereo. I’m using it every day, and the instant connectivity is awesome. I’m really happy with it, and have now added a picture to show how good it looks. I really do love this thing, and I’m so happy I got it at such a good price and at a good time.

Just a heads up
Most likely will need a new fascia panel to fit non stock radio, will need to re wire radio or have an iso adapterApart from that quality is great

Installed in a Honda CR-V
Wiring this unit into an old Honda CR-V was made more entertaining by Honda's non-conventional wiring plug. I cut that off, found a wiring diagram on the internet and soldered the wires to the plugs supplied with iGeek product. It took about 90 minutes as I am cautious. Also, some of the Honda wires had discoloured; blue turning green mainly.I soon figured the controls, which were not dissimilar to those of other car entertainment units. Arguably the on/off switch is a bit small and rather close to the volume dial. Other than that, no problem. I blue-toothed a phone and an iPod easily to the iGeek but, unlike most inbuilt systems on modern cars, one cannot control these gadgets (e.g. select tracks) from the iGeek. The micro SD card worked fine once I remembered to format it correctly and ensured the tracks were mpegs. I found the auxiliary power socket useful for the phone/iPod.Some have commented on the bright digital time display. It doesn't bother me but I could tone it down by taping over it a piece of cellophane wrapper from a sweet.

Bargain stereo with good sound
Bought for a single din dash as no option to go double. Replaced a Pioneer SPH-10BT which was just too much off a faff to use.Best bits:Dead easy to install, straight into van harness (2002 Sprinter)Bluetooth hook up instantaneous and continues to be so.It has a rotary volume knob! (Excellent!)Sound perfectly satisfactory on cheap FLY speakers x4.Only three sources so easy to switch FM/Aux/BTSimple equaliser options.Clock is bright but it’s a cab stereo so goes off with the key out, it’s in my camper for cab use only as there is another stereo set up in the living area. Needed a clock in the dash so handy to have.Chose this based on reviews, didn’t want anything that would draw attention, even so I loosely fitted the cage so if anyone wants to nick it they won’t wreck my dash.Does what it’s supposed to do and very good at it.Negatives (fussy if you like but I’ll put them in)It’s rather a thick fascia so sits about 10-15mm proud of the dash. When my phone was plugged in to the usb (both tested) there was a humming. Might be the lead, might be the Nav app I was using. So I plugged my phone in somewhere else!

A Z3 Sound Purchase
I required a Bluetooth radio for a Z3 we recently purchased and didn't want anything to flash as I wanted it to work with the car's interior. I also wanted something that looked period and had orange lume so it worked with the dash lights and so on.Looking at some very expensive options that fitted all the above criteria I then came across this on Amazon. And I thought I'd give it a go.I didn't expect much at all and thought I'd ultimately have to return it.It arrived promptly, I fitted it with a wiring adapter, aerial lead and once it fired up a big smile on my face! This unit represents great value for money, the sound through the standard 24 year old BMW speakers is nothing short of excellent. Definitely good enough for two seater wrag tops that are sadly all to vulnerable to some of societies miscreants!Choice of illumination is excellent and the red colour isn't that different to the cars orange control lights so I'm more than happy.I think if you take into account the cost of this unit and set your expectations at a reasonable level you can't go wrong. If you expect Alpine build quality for this amount of money you'll be disappointed but then again, I'd suggest you're expectaions would be unrealistic to say the least. So would I recommend one to a friend ....absolutely!
