Truth or Tequila (The Grand Slam/Blitzen Bay Series)

I really enjoyed this book, I loved the conversations and relationships between all the characters.What started out as a drinking game, ends up with Sophia kissing Seb - without knowing he's a local sports celebrity. Seb finds it refreshing to not be hounded for his job.Sophia is such an easy character to like, she was sassy, funny and loyal. Seb was so sweet, really put his heart out there for something he wanted, although he was a little over protective, but that could be from his own experience with fans. I loved all the secondary characters too.I liked the pace of the relationship build, however I feel that the Gary & Gentry situation was rushed and should have been explained in more depth, I needed far more information on them at the end.There was several descriptions about baseball which went straight over my head, but not enough for it to spoil any of the story.The story was engaging, and quite a lot going on to keep you hooked.

Seb is a famous baseball player and when he walks into a bar everyone has their eyes on him except on women, and when she looks up to see him looking at her, she just rolls her eyes, with no clue who he is. Sophie is out at a bachelorette party, when fuelled by tequila she is dared to go up to Seb in the VIP lounge, and she is determined to win the dare. The next day Sophie finds out who Seb is when her new clients are the baseball team which he plays for, and their reputation is tarnished due to an incident between a player and a female reporter. This is a well written sport romance romantic comedy, which is sweet, and filled with witty banter, humor, and love which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I have to say I did enjoy it and it's a solid 3.5 star read.From the fun vibrant cover and title I would have expected a few more laugh out loud moments and one liners but it wasn't really that kind of book.The story is good with likeable characters I love Maisie and feel everyone needs a friend like her.This was an easy read book written at a fairly fast pace so not hard to finish in one sitting. I would read more from this author but couldn't say this book would be very memorable in the future.

This was a fun read. You have Sophie who takes no crap from anyone and knows what she wants but has fears like the rest of mere mortals. Seb is a famous baseball player who knows what he wants from the get go. Add in some drama and you have an intriguing read. The friends were great I loved Roman , Michael and maisie
