It appears the product will hold up well during use. I am particularly excited to utilize the compass that is included in the handle. The importance of knowing what direction you're digging, will not be neglected with this instrument. Whatsmore, there's a flashlight that can be attached to the handle so not only will you be able to determine digging direction, but you can also know what direction you're digging in the dark!

Over a year later and my son is still using it every time he goes fishing, camping, hiking.

This product was my surprise useful tool the very first time I brought it out. It's shovel head came in handy immediately to clear some underbrush, and later to move some sand. The handle is made of some really heavy metal, which means it doesn't bend when you start using it as a pry bar.The ax head is...unfortunate. It's very light and *not* a splitting head, so with the weight of the handle, the balance is all wrong when you go to use it - it's all near your hands rather then at the end in the head where it needs to be. And since it's not a splitting head, it doesn't split wood well if at all. It would be fine in an emergency situation, as it will make your life easier if there is no other options, but it's not good for regular use.Two things about the handle; this kit needs more sections sold with it or as an add-on/upgrade, as the current number are not quite enough for a comfortable shoveling experience. However, the modularity of the handles means that you can fabricate your own heads (or more handles) if you want.All in all, a good modular shovel for the price.

Great to have in your vehicle while camping or going into snow country.

I've used this almost every day it's so strong. Easy to put together and has a very strong axe u can hit logs hard and it doesn't even kinda wanna break. This is strong u can use it for so many things. I never got it until now cause I thought it wouldn't be worth buying cause I didn't think it would be something that I can use every day

Shovel is awesome. Flashlight is decent. Good Leatherman. As a total value it's a solid 3 out of 5. Would be a 4 or maybe even a 5 if the hatchet head didn't require a thin, cheap, poorly designed aluminum adapter to connect it to the handle.My son used the hatchet today and the adapter/coupler/ferrule that connects the head to the handle broke on the 5th strike. He's been using hatchets regularly for about 5 years so I trust his swing was done with proper form. He was chopping pine, not walnut or cherry or something hard. Pine destroyed the cheap aluminum ferrule. If it were iron or steel I doubt I would have left anything but a positive review.

I haven't used in the field yet but I'm sure it will be fine for my needs. Solo camping friendly very light weight.

The package neatly wrapped and compact. The product looks very strong and have not had the opportunity to use it. Will update afterwards.
