Q: Is the draw string functional on the shorts? My guy is really thin

Draw string is functional, my guy is also really thin, but they fit him really good!

Q: Is there a size chart? Interested in length of shirt. Trying to decide between a size 5 and a 6.

Go with the bigger size. It runs on the smaller side then it shrunk after washing.

Q: Is this item 100% cotton? Will this fabric shrink after wash?

The shorts are a soft cotton material but the shirt is made out of a different material that isn't so soft, its closer to swim suit fabric.

Q: 1t/2t is a large range in sizes. will this fit a toddler who normally wears 2t? or should i go up to 2t/3t? thanks.

I would go to the 2t/3t. I received the 1t/2t and while fit shorts were small and only got 2 wearings...would get more use out of little bigger
